*Men have no feelings unless they can be used to villainize or mock them

So true! /s

Feminists: Women are the principal victims of war. Women have it rough, making 1/8 suicide victims are women.

[–]Clean_Tear81251 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That’s crazy. Females are only one of the many many genders after all

[–]NinjaSelect3581 20 points21 points22 points 2 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Interesting and sad. A documentary on Pink Floyd and the making of Dark Side of the Moon appears to shed light on how men can be considered sensitive.

Here’s an interesting aspect of men vs women in leadership positions: “Authors of the book Why Leaders Fight analyzed every world leader from 1875 to 2004 and statistically examined gender differences in military aggression. They found that 36% of the female leaders initiated at least one militarized dispute, while only 30% of male leaders did the same.” Quoted in this Forbes article.

I think the whole history of art shows that men have feelings. Shakespeare? Mozart? Michelangelo? F Scott Fitzgerald? Steven Spielberg?

As with most Feminist mutterings, 5 seconds of thought shows this idea to be absolute bollocks ( to be fair, that is 4.5 seconds more than most Feminists are capable of thinking for).

[–]NinjaSelect3581 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Agreed - lots of history albeit focused on those who were in a position to express their feelings through art. I never paid much attention to it even after reading Neville Goddard’s Feeling is the Secret. I was locked up with cPTSD trauma for many years though. That PF documentary did finally touch a chord for me.

[–]LuciferLondonderry 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm really glad to hear that. Your comment reminds me of a Bob Marley line "One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain." One of the greatest experiences of my life was looking up at the stars, stoned out of my mind, and listening to Dark Side of the Moon.

[–]NinjaSelect3581 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I should have done that! It took me decades to understand Dark Side of the Moon even though I love looking at the stars. Not sure I 100% agree with Bob - I have felt plenty of emotional pain from classical music lol. Now, Reggae and jazz, that’s a different story.

[–]reverbiscrap 17 points18 points19 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The way men emote and display vulnerability is different from how women do so. Women tend to not understand male coded emotional displays in the modern era, and so assume that because men do not 'have feelings'.

This is entirely a modern concept, tho.

I saw somewhere that a bunch of people who identified as misandrists were commenting on this. They said it “looks good” but their only problem was that it “wasn’t higher”. Heartbreaking

[–]jwakefield110 15 points16 points17 points 2 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And then they say feminism isn't about hating men.

[–]AigisxLabrys 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And they say feminism isn’t evil.

[–]No_Counter_9858 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's basic ideology is hating men buddy from its origins.

[+]officer_herps -7 points-6 points-5 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's because real feminists strive for equal rights they want men and women to have the same rights.

Alternatively, misandrists call themselves feminists but they aren't cause they actively strive for men to have less or no rights.

Tldr : feminists want equal rights as men And misandrists are violently sexist women

Both Misandry and misogyny are stupid af

[–]Jaded-Help1860 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Would’ve bought your argument had I been ignorant but not now. Not anymore. If I can see through the real propaganda of feminism and pretend I can’t, then I am no better than the monster we are trying to fight. Feminism is a political movement and has ALWAYS been about “empowerment” for women at the expense of men. I’m yet to see a feminist who has fought for equal rights and still accepted by the feminist cults. Erin Pizzey opened the biggest domestic violence shelter for women but the moment she claimed men could also be victims, the same feminism didn’t allow this woman a voice either. She was exiled from the very own shelter she created. Then she became a men’s rights activist. So no matter how hard you try, I will reject every argument which favours feminism. Since feminists never cared about the damage they did to us directly or indirectly, why should their work for women concern us men?

[–]No_Counter_9858 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even the most misogynistic incel will not justify rapes against women while women and feminists do it like its a casual thing.always remember there are no good feminists and bad feminists the whole ideology is based on the belief of Marxist oppression of women by men.women and feminists are not some kind off angels.

[–]HelpfulViolinist3562 8 points9 points10 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's a word for people without emotions, they're called sociopaths. It's not that we don't have them it's that we aren't allowed to show them. Even when we do show emotions it's either thrown back in our face or misconstrued in some negative way, usually by women. The fact that modern society is against men being free to be themselves is why are suicide rate is higher. I suspect they either get tired of living under the constraints of such a system or they get tired of playing the role of the "good boy/perfect man" and without a support system sadly see it as the only way out. It also doesn't help that the professionals of said system are mostly women and therefore are unequipped to truly understand the male perspective.

[–]Superx008 22 points23 points24 points 2 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

If men show their feelings we would be call gay by women or a pussy by our father.

[–]IvanIsak[S] 14 points15 points16 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And that's why men die from strokes and heart disease, because men are being silent

[–]Superx008 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men are just being silence by women we are also being silence by other men. It's why I don't talk to men who tease other men or mess around with them. I think there something wrong with a person when they engaged in that kind of behavior.

[–]Hyperkitty14 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, like imagine if there was a man who was crying after seeing his friends, family or someone who he loved passed away, are those people gonna called him gay and pussy? That sounds super heartless

[–]TangoSquueze 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No one cares unfortunately. So much of life as a man is taking continuous Ls, no one caring, system stacked against you meant to cripple you, and trying to find the will to not give up cause of your kids.

[–]No_Counter_9858 -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The only solution as a man is to find religion and seek solace in him(I know sounds corny but it's only entity a man can vent his feelings to)or join a sports club and cultivate a sporty brotherhood among fellow men.

[–]Real-Turnover-7289 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They also still think we’re dying by suicide because we choose “more violent methods”

For god sakes it’s depression a literal mood disorder that shuts off your biological survival instincts and engages your instructs to die.

At most I’d say men probably suffer more from depression or experience it more severely for a variety of reasons related to societies standards in men.

[–]Infinite_Procedure98 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I feel like the hate and villainization of men has come lately to paranoia.
In school they teach girls that men are bad, but they teach the same to little boys. What will become this generation? How many complexes will they have when growing adults - all of them? Livestock for therapists, mutual mistrust, guilt, superiority complex. How many will turn to the dark side because of this?

[–]Kathhound12 11 points12 points13 points 2 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Oh I have feelings, I just never show them in front of a woman. They will weaponize and use it against me later. I won’t even laugh hard around one, MIGHT give a smile and a light chuckle. They are absolutely predators

[–]TrendSettier9 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Is it feminisms fault that women are predators and out to hurt men? Or is it a nature thing though?

Like how do we fix this?

[–]Bazza90 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

There are no cultural influences moderating female nature any more. This is how they would have behaved through all of human history if they could have.

[–]TrendSettier9 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why couldn’t they? Who was controlling them and how? Was that really a superior system all things considered?

[–]Bazza90 8 points9 points10 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Throughout human history, there have been clearly defined gender norms, and if you violated those norms, the people around you would correct you. Men were expected to provide, women to keep house. If, as a man, you had a family but no job, people around you would tell you to get your act together.

What has changed is that we have removed all gender norm expectations for women. There is no cultural way to evaluate women's behaviour any more, in any way, it's all considered good as long as it benefits her. There has been no gender norm reduction for men, in fact, expectations have increased.

[–]TrendSettier9 -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So you want to free men from gender norms? Or go back to making sure women meet gender norms. Seems like you’d have to do one or the other.

[–]Bazza90 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Free men from gender norms. It's not that things have changed, change is a natural process. It's just the double standard.

[–]Hyperkitty14 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, it feels like society is such a disappointing

[–]TacoFromTheSky 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean most Men don't have feelings cause they are dead. Tragic.

[–]kkkan2020[🍰] 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Humans with no feelings would be definitely scary some one with no emotion impediment and has clear focus

[+]myrainyday 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My wife's father took his own life when his daughters were teenagers. This left huge scars for them.

It is likely that he had a case of depression and was prone to alcoholism. So yes, men do have feelings and there are men who are very much Sensitive.

[–]Royal_Biscuit15 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We had a persuasive speech assessment when I was in my second last year of high school, and one of the topics was men's mental health, and I was talking about it with friends.

Both were girls, and I was saying how depressing it was about the statistics and the stigma behind it.

It became a conversation about gender issues and how men's suicide rates are mainly soldiers, and most men are attacking each other, so it's their fault in the first place.

At the time, I had no rebuttal, I knew they weren't correct, but I had no way of arguing my point cause I didn't have any experience with women putting down men and belittling them for their issues.

I do now, but it's frustrating to think that my friends decided their issues were worse than those of my gender.

[–]AirSailer 6 points7 points8 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. There are plenty of times in the past where my ignorance of male issues left me at a disadvantage in gender-related discussions.

[–]IthrowAwayYourAdvice1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Every great and emotional work for the past thousands of years all art, oral tradition, music, books poetry all of it every single creative process made by men, what women have made these past 200 years is a grain of sand on a beach in comparison to the classics.

[–]SocialAncap1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I used to until feminism made me cold as ice
