When it comes to attraction, women tune in to what they feel. So they don’t go by objective criteria as many assume. While it’s true that some women will reject you for external reasons, many will want you!

Indian guys who are tall and reasonably athletic are actually very attractive to some women. In other words they stand out.

You need to get out and talk to women you may be surprised at their reaction.

If you don’t study seduction first, i don’t see the point in cold approaching. Cold approach only works if you know how to seduce girls, and most people who cold approach don’t have a clue, they just playing a numbers game without understanding how attraction works, or how seduction works.

In college there was an Indian guy with a SLIGHT accent who got with this girl Dani in my social circle who was a hot blonde. They are now married.

It's possible.

With that said, this Indian guy (his name was Badaal) was

1) Decently handsome, but not overly (I'd say he was a 7) 2) He wore nice clothes and had a style to him 3) He was very charismatic

My point is: the Indian part doesn't matter. He even had a slight accent, which separated him from American guys.

Based on your description, I'm going to guess you are in the bay area? If so you are fine - it is definitely a silly trope that women reject brown guys for being brown there. Whenever I'm in the area ( I'm also in tech ) half of the people are Indian-ish or and another half is Asian-ish with a few dorky white guys who look like worms from "Men and Black" or Homer Simpsons -- that's just the market. You are going to do fine in it.

Here's the other good thing :

At 6' you are *tall* for your competition so you will stand out.

So just go up and talk to people when you are out. Not to try to date but just to get over your self-perceived social stigma for being less and not worthy for being brown. Do it until the cows come home. You will be fine. You just need reps. Think of it like a standard software engineering problem. After that apply what you learn from those reps to the women.

P.S. Go on a high protein diet and lift weights. Or just your body. But definitely stop eating fancy fast food crap like the shit all over Castro in Mountain View.

Do not place women as some high level beings where you can't talk to them without them seeing you as nothing. They're human too and can be tease and flirt easily if your confidence is working together with you

Looks wise: Dress a bit fancier. Find a style that really makes you stand out in a good way. Style your facial hair, maybe a well-tended goatee. For hair, either grow long hair or shave them completely. Finally, a tattoo or two could improve your looks by a lot. And, in the long run, try to put on some muscle.

The reason is, if you're an average-looking guy, you want something that will make you stand out, and look more interesting.

The fact you are brown has nothing to do with it. Sure, some women might reject you for it, but the same goes for any other case. Focus on the ones who don't care.

Continue working on your social skills and game, and everything will turn out fine.

Fuck no. Even though looks is an advantage it does not mean much for girls. There are other masculine traits that you can have. Learn Charisma, read self-improving books, learn how to sell, work in every aspect besides coding. I'm telling you as a average looking Software Engineer. Also forget about skin color. I have Indian friends in gym that are FUCKING CHADS.
