Ex-Red-Pillers; what was your final straw?

I got out of redpill as soon as I met redpillers in person and could tell they were losers. They constantly talked about women and had no other priorities in life, nothing else to look forward to. They talked about sex like it is a rare thing that very few men get, and talked about women like they are some elusive destructive alien beings. They all talked big, trying to impress each other, though sounding awkward the whole time.

I suppose that's why the redpill is mostly online: When you meet these people in person and realize they suck, you make sure not to be like them.

I also had a short pickup artist phase that came out similarly. Hung out with PUA guys at a club, some were trying to get the commission on me paying for boot camps. It's a pyramid scheme, by the way. I saw them all strike out with women, since the universe goes off script. They all just came off desperate, not even trying to have a good time. I found them embarrassing and I ditched them later in the night, ironically meeting a woman by just interacting in ways that PUAs said not to.

The utter contradictions in their arguments (eg. women should be pure and chaste while at the same time should have sex on the first date)
Their obsession with women and having as much sex as possible as if there's no other purpose in life. They call themselves alpha but their whole self-worth is dependent on female attention. It makes you wonder of any attachment issues they have.
Their philosophy and way of life is incompatible with my religious faith and that was actually my first reason why I started to doubt it.

I would classify myself as ex-RP and will share my story.

Pre-RP, I actually thought being "nice" to girls was a way to get them to like you. Flatter them, make them feel good about themselves, be there as a shoulder to cry on. But when they'd inevitably friendzone me, I would get mad.

I started RP after my first girlfriend of 1.5 years dumped me because I was too emotional. That was kind of a wake up call. I was kind of sulky. I just thought I could be myself and express my emotions, but it was very clear she was disgusted by me.

I was angry at her for leaving me and abandoning me.

Learning about red pill made me realise I was totally wrong about what girls found attractive. And it made sense why she was disgusted by me. In a way, she was just being honest and true to herself. And I can't be mad at that. I was no longer angry at her. I understood that at some deep biological level, there is something disgusting about a weak man for a woman. To put it simply: a kind and caring woman would have pity on me if I was sulky, yes, but they will still find it unattractive (generalisation but still).

As I started working out, being more confident, and becoming kind of an asshole, girls flocked towards me. I was getting laid regularly and had no issues at all picking up girls. It was so easy. They liked me way more. It's almost if the less I cared about them the more they found me attractive. I had one girl I was seeing who could not get her hands off me tell me, "I don't understand this because I'm a feminist but I'm so attracted to you" because I was essentially the polar opposite of a feminist's dream guy in my personality and demeanor ... So, for me, there was undoubetly truth in much of RP.

The issue was, I was still bitter towards women. I really felt like I had to keep my guard up. To bottle up emotions, to not express them. For me, expressing emotions meant them losing girls. So it became kind of a game of stoicism. Don't cry. Don't express insecurity. Don't do any of this. And most of all don't trust women, because they can flip in an instant. It drove me a bit mad.

Because of this, I kept to myself emotionally. And I was also constantly comparing myself to other guys. I needed to be better than them or else my girlfriend or whatever would leave me.

Eventually, I started to learn things about spirituality and psychology. I learned the true nature of my insecurities. When that left, I was able to see clearly. I wasn't bitter or mistrustful of women anymore. I just felt comfortable being myself. Nor was I sulky, because I was not insecure. I was just basically chill.

Now, I've gained a chunk of weight, but my current girlfriend of about 7 years still is obsessed with me. I feel very secure in our relationship, but I also am not possessive of her. If she "cheated" on me, I honestly don't think it would be that big of a deal. So I lost the kind of alpha male competitive insecure aggression I had with RP.

More importantly, I am able to be extremely emotionally available to her and we have great communication. I don't need to front anything, or act tough. But I feel confident. This confidence came from spiritual insights that I experienced.

I still have a sex drive, but I relate to people more as people now, and I'm happy to express my emotions, which are generally almost always positive and happy. I like to connect with people at an emotional level for example. Something that I was very averse to with RP.

I believe understanding sexual psychology is important, just like understanding nutrition is. There are many misunderstandings and red pill actually does expose some truth in this regard. But the general philosophy is shrouded in bitterness. And that bitterness is there because of insecurity. Take the insecurity away, and human beings are just human beings. And it's a happy thing.

I never fully considered myself Red Pill because I always saw some contradictions in their beliefs.

but a few years ago, Fresh & Fit were making fun of another YouTuber I follow (Kurtis Conner, he’s a good dude), and then when Aba & Preach called them out, I realized how lame that shit truly is.

To add, I kind of stuck around the redpill pages for a little bit, even after noticing the redpillers I met in person were losers, but the very last straw was when white supremacy BS got so embraced. The same thing happened with MRAs.

I realized it's a business as everything in life is. Whether you're a woman or a man. Women with internalized misogyny prey on insecure women with a low sense of self worth by selling them princess treatment courses and men on the other side do the same with insecure men by selling them alpha courses. Every business in the world loves it when you have poor mental health because you're an easier consumer for them. Once you fix your mental health, you're not a money symbol to businesses anymore and you'll see how easily people spend money to buy products they think will fix their life. Think LGBTQ as well, even they have content selling you dating courses and their own little communities that prey on LGBTQ who feel negatively about themselves. This is life under capitalism, this life is all about emotions and business. Your Negative emotions + problems = money. When you feel good about yourself, certain businesses make less money and you begin buying from businesses which actually improve your life and putting your money to good use.

A litany of these but mostly the people that I once looked to for answers becoming more and more disgusting, violent and heartless in their speech.

I remember seeing just pearly things speaking on a grieving mother who was 3 WEEKS postpartum and her boyfriend/husband abandoned her because she asked for more help with the baby and around the house. Pearl immediately said the woman was hysterical and probably pushed him away because she was nagging and not “putting out”. Mind you the baby still has a placenta perm…

Seeing sources like Liberal Hivemind and others bask in the “glory” of seeing mothers and children dragged out of schools, daycares, cars, and private residences and carted off to random countries without due process, or be locked up in work camps. Also, to see them still happy when the same thing happens to non white American citizens.

People, even black people, saying that we were better off enslaved…also saying that women should be enslaved.

Also realizing that on the right, most of the people’s issues lie in how OTHER people are living their lives. Thinking that gay people are too out, open and flamboyant. That women are doing too much by not seeking male validation at every turn. Upset that women are becoming more educated and free. Or that black people even exist and can do bad things sometimes etc. while in contrast, the left is typically focused on people losing rights, being slain in the streets like dogs, and having their human dignity and rights violated.

Going from teen feminist, to early 20s redpill, to mid 20s centrist really opened my eyes and let me apply them freshly on the world.
