It's amazing how many people are clueless about this, even people who are pretty smart on other topics will be out to lunch. They think they can insult men with the bog standard insults to coerce them into going into the workforce. Those days are over, men have heard all the insults and just don't care anymore about the opinions of those insulting them about this.

Nothing new. Nicholas Eberstadt talked about this issue for years. By injecting DEI policies into corporate culture, that is decreasing any chances for promotion or climbing the corporate ladder for young men. One Disney executive talked that just a fact of being a heterosexual dude barred him from any promotion for years in undercover James O'Keefe report.

Why would anybody strive to be in the workforce during the time when there are policies directed against you, if you have the option to stay home smoke weed and play videogames? Obviously, anybody who can rely on social welfare would choose to stay home to smoke weed, while those anti-male policies are practicing in corporate world.

I'm TRYING to find a decent job.

My life is fucked up now. I went to school and got a degree in secondary education. Well, turns out that a career in education wasn't what I thought it would be like. I was worse than miserable; I was put in a mental wing at a hospital for expressing my emotions and thoughts about my own life to my therapist. My trust was betrayed and I was at my lowest point in my entire life. I managed to power through and finish my internship and earn my degree even with a university supervisor who was actively trying to sabotage me. Thankfully I was blessed with amazing mentors at my internship who had my back.

I'm in my mid twenties and literally trying to reinvent myself and figure out a path forward *again*. Losing hope. Now I apply to jobs and I'm overqualified, or I apply to an entry level and I'm underqualified, or whatever other common list of excuse I receive in a generic apathetic email. I've had my resume professionally looked at, I've spent a lot of time on it, I try to tailor it as necessary to jobs I apply for, I only apply to jobs I believe I am qualified for, it's friendly to the automated systems used to look for keywords, etc. I'm not applying to be a CEO or a bank president, I'm applying to average jobs.

But I can't go back to being stuck in fast food, minimum wage service again with this school debt that I have. People don't care about other people. People have a doofus view of the world; some people actually think it takes no work at all to get through uni, when I worked my ass off to graduate with a 3.8, to earn scholarships to help me pay for tuition and take on less debt, and worked part-time to pay for rent and utilities in the apartment I lived in. I took a full course load the entire time, and also summer courses to ensure I would graduate in 4 years in spite of the COVID pandemic that shut down the world.

It's not "easy" to get a degree. It's not irrelevant. Uni was not a party; I skipped most of the parties to study or work on homework and projects. Constantly learning and implementing new information, working with peers and professionals, balancing a heavy workload, these show a fundamental level of basic capability, long-term commitment and follow-through, time management, and a desire to grow as a person. Sure, obviously my degree isn't applicable to IT, or engineering, but it shouldn't be an anchor either.

Talk about a fucking clown world. I'm so sick of it. I can't become a respectable, independent man by going 7 steps backward and making barbie drinks for 17 year old high school girls at a Starbucks, sorry. I already did that for three years to help get me through college so that I WOULDN'T have to do that anymore. That was kind of the fucking point.

All I'm saying is: it's a little disingenuous to just say millions of men have "dropped out" of the workforce. Millions of those same men are being rejected by the workforce, some of them were made redundant or laid-off, and of course they're not going to work a shit job that will have them living out of a car and taking a bath in the restaurant's dishwashing station. A high school diploma should not be worth more than a respectable college degree. Graduating high school is the definition of a fucking freebie. Literally the lowest common denominator.

(EDIT: I don't want to knock people for dropping out of high school, whatever the reason was. High school sucks for a lot of us; I've seen it from the student's desk, and the teacher's desk. I barely graduated myself. I earned almost one entire GPA point higher in uni than I did in high school. When I say it was a freebie, I say that out of frustration for my own current situation, and also with the 20/20 of hindsight.)

Why would men run in a race which they can't win? The workplace has been rigged to female benefit. Men, after training themselves through examinations and apprenticeships, cross the finishing line fairly, only to find that all of the prizes have been given away through AA, EEO, DEI, ESG and other, utter BS.

be told your identity and ego is dependent on on taking that money from this jobs and share a large proportion to someone you are having sex with.

Be told daily your existence and nature is repugnant to the same people

Men can do whatever they want to. But can someone explain what they mean. Do they mean that men have stopped working completely? Then how do they survive? Or do they mean they have simply started working for themselves in some capacity? In which case, they could be growing businesses and creating jobs for others.
