Check the cues, and is up to you to set it up, she waits for you to do things. If you want to kiss her the best approach is to get closer, caress her hair or move them around her ear, if she let you do this she's comfortable with you. Then look her in the eyes, her lips, her eyes again, and slowly lean, move your hand on her cheek and go for a soft kiss, just a peck. And then pull back. If she fine she'llkiss you. If she's not ready, she will move and is all good, smile it off and tell her that you couldn't resist and fancied giving her a kiss. Don't ask for permission to kiss, if you prefer words than it has to be a statement and not a question. Get closer to her and maybe put your hands on her hips or something and say something in her ear like "Hey, you are fun and we're having a good time, and I feel like I'm want to kiss you, you're super sweet. One kiss." Say it and kiss her ear a little if you like, it all depends how comfortable you both are at that moment, but you are the man and women expect you to set it up/initiate it. She may ask you why you want to kiss her or whatever it doesn't matter, because it has open the discussion about you too kissing, and even if may not happen that night may happen later, just keep flirting with her casually, do not put too much effort with women, let them come to you. All you have to do is to show intentions, whether you go for the kiss or tell her, is all good, but just going for the kiss is usually the best option. Women like that she knows how to handle things so just be cool and have a good time.

Would it be "fine" to kiss right now. Don't like this. I think there's better ways to ask, if are going to ask. But I think non-verbal cues are better, asking can really take you both out of the tension in the moment. If you're not sure if she'll reciprocate, it's probably a no.

Asking for a kiss sounds crazy.

If you need to verbalise it, then just say that you want to kiss her, in a calm or light-hearted way. Then watch her reaction. You've checked for consent without sounding like a beggar.

Trust me you'll know, she'll literally give you THE LOOK. What you're describing as a great date isn't the same as her envisioning of a great date. You'll have many dates that you'll think have went great only to be hit with the "I didn't feel the spark" line.

Sometimes it's hard to tell naturally if she wants to get kissed or not, not all girls express it the same way, but something that has worked for me countless times in these situations is instead of asking like OP says, you can make a playful/banter statement like

"You know iv never actually kissed a girl while.... or after..... etc etc (maybe something about where you guys are or what you did on the date)

An example of this is I finished a date with a girl after we grabbed some food and went on a walk , and said "Iv heard that kissing around trees is healthy for the environment and ozone layer, do you think it's true?"

Pretty silly question but right when I asked I felt something change and it helped that she replied with "what do you think happens to the trees if people kiss around them?"

And she gave me a smile and it was pretty much done deal there.

Basically, just playfully introduce kissing or making out or whatever when you feel like it's appropriate but don't ask directly. Good luck!

If a woman likes you, her signs will be very obvious, like having physical contact at every moment, laughing at anything you say and most importantly she will look to be kissed, I am a woman and that is why I say this. If she does not give you signs, she is simply not interested in you. Do not stress too much.
