You should stopp taking dating apps serious pal. The only point of dating apps is that women are trolling men. Or Men are trolling women. There is no need to be sexist here. Many people are online because they are bored. writing few words to each other and at some point they do not have anything more to say to each other. They part away and the game starts again with new people. If you are looking for deep connections get off the dating apps asap.

Anyone else had some girls on dating apps who you match with, seem to be playful and in to you and then say they're not interested out of nowhere and unmatch?

Good, now you're one less person away from someone special.

It isn't common but I feel happened once or twice and it just feels like a power thing/ego boost trip. Or was it a shit test and I failed?

Keep your focus on what you can control. Is there anything you could have improved on? Detach, Analyse, take that lesson, apply it for next time.

Don't apply judgements to people's actions ("She said no, I guess I'm worthless", "she was only playing with me", "it was an ego trip"). 98% of people have no idea why they do something, don't try to guess without even knowing them. Accept their actions and make the best play you can from it at that point in time. In this case, it would be to move on, message other people or even take a little break from online dating.

This will continue to happen on larger scales once you meet in person, so try and find a good frame for yourself that is positive, rewards learning, takes action.

when you have a good profile and match with lots of people, naturally there are many convos that are short and don’t go anywhere. i do this too where i flirt a bit with a woman then move on bc i meet someone im more interested in. does that make me a troll? of course not. you haven’t even met this person yet, you’re mistake is overstating the importance of matching with someone online. it’s not that deep, particularly in the earlier stages.

there definitely are people out there who are trolling and can be especially rude or mean, those people are definitely trolls you shouldn’t worry about. but again, just bc you matched someone online and sent 5 messages back and forth doesn’t mean either of you owes the other anything at that point.

i think you need to be a little less sensitive about the whole thing

They may obviously just mess around or simply put their focus on better candidate available. Imagine you are decently attractive girl, most of guys are open to sleep with you without any fuss or conditions, you don't need to be too considerate, next option is just a few clicks away.

No, it doesn't happen to me. I'm going to guess that the reason this happens is one, or both, of the following:

Your profile / pictures are unattractive
Your texting is bad

If you look attractive in your photos, and your texting is good, they usually won't do this type of asshole behavior towards you.

It's like when a guy matches with a fatty, he might say some mean things because he's annoyed he didn't match with a hotter girl. Same here. She's annoyed she could not go out with a more attractive guy, so she's going to shit on you to feel better about herself. Getting rejected by a hotter guy hurt her ego. To rebuild her ego she will kick the shit down towards a guy that she thinks is "lower" than her on the totem-pole. Lots of people do this. When they feel inferior to others, they find someone to bully to make someone else feel even more inferior. In this social-comparison game: Hurt people hurt people.

You should focus on improving your attractiveness on your profile, and improving your texting game. And this will go away.
