Here's some advice as a guy. You can't give up. You're giving up on yourself and everyone who loves you if you do. Giving up guarantees you will suffer. You guarantee the thoughts that drive you to think this way will manifest.

Instead, get up. Make your bed. Work your fucking ass off. Go after your vision. Maybe even downsize and live a bit more austerely than you can afford to. Bank every dollar you can. Get off of social media and porn. Throw yourself completely into your goals (it's important to make them).

You are correct. No one fucking cares about you. That's why you need to care about yourself. People don't follow quitters. Go out and win, and watch your life change.

I am too bored to look through yet another doomer stuff. Here's the real situation: in order to support a family financially and maintain a (desired, average) living standard, this time and age is unique in a way that it's never been harder to do it with a single paycheck.

Now that this is being brought to daylight, all other discussions about female or male financial independence of our age vs past generation are a moot point. Just because more and more young people are OK with cohabiting with friends or living in secluded places in order to move away from their parents, it doesn't make them more independent or capable of supporting a family on a paycheck. More and more young people are literally forced to be independent these days not because they want to move out like before, but because their parents increasingly want them out of their homes and put a huge pressure on them to move out as soon as they hit 18, 21 or whatever is the legal definition of child support. In many states it's dependent on a child's education status, thus parents are obliged to provide support (including child support) up 20+ years of age if the kid goes to college.

By having ever-increasing to-do-list before being fully independent, one's age of (financial) independence and capability to achieve such independence is being postponed more and more. At the start of 20th century, men were almost universally employed full-time at the age of 18, most of them started working while underage, except the rich kids. Women weren't working unless they came from poor families. In our day and age, everyone tend to enroll into college and take a student loan. Full-time employment in 2024 at the age of 18 is a rarity for any gender, racial, religious and ethnic group.

You've just seen Democrats collapsing even further among the working class, while Democrats are the ones who proudly stand behind the "need no man" clause, while Republicans openly reject it lately. So, one would ask then, how come so many poor people, especially Black voters, are Democrat? Well, there's the class below working class. You can define it as the American poor, or poor working class, anything. If you end up in such neighborhood, you'll see people around you being on government support, being benefactors of various programs. That's the catch.

So, when they tell you about female empowerment and "I don't need no man" in the media, you always see an affluent, highly educated woman with a high profile university degree and parents with high pedigree who can help her out to land any high profile career she wants. In reality, you don't see women like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, former member of SCOTUS, as a single mother who "needs no man". In fact, all these women are married or strive to be.

In order to succeed and to ensure the best start for eventual children of their own, it's all about stacking the deck. And that's gender-independent. That's why RBG and other women who could financially support dozens of children on their own, decided to marry and they tend to marry into other high profile families. It's your average trailer park White trash Janice and ghetto-dwelling Shaniqua being the most prominent in raising children on their own and also uttering this "need no man" clause. They do it at the expense of the taypayer and if they had a man in the picture, they'd likely end up not receiving those benefits. In fact, the only reason why Black community doesn't dominate trailer park population as well (and thus lower support among poor Whites for the Dems) is due to more financial incentives regarding affordable housing primarily to Black single mothers, which ultimately destroyed Black community.

And it's exactly the feedback loop that keeps the Black community ruined by same people we tend to vote for. Single women vote Dems primarily for their own benefits, privileges and handouts. This is in no way an argument for Republicans, but a good emphasis what causes the "need no man" attitude in practice and why the articles and video blogs are all missing the point. The ever-increasing population of single men and women are those at the bottom of the financial pyramid. Their relationships are becoming more and more "short-term", mainly about copulating and moving on, mainly when a woman gets bored with her current man or thinks she found a better replacement. This isn't as common in the dating or relationship dynamics outside of the "bottom" of the financial pyramid, but as more and more people tend to fall into this trap due to increasing costs and necessity for double-earner income to maintain their standard, it becomes a reality of more and more couples and you have more and more volatile relationships in general. In fact, for the first time in human history, you have more single women at the bottom of the financial pyramid than you have at the top, while this has always been the case for single men.
