Wife blurted out divorce last night but sadly in front of our kids. I have an attorney consult this Wednesday(should have done this earlier). Kids are wrecked but we decided to live together until we can divorce through lawyers. I didn't want lawyers involved but she kept mentioning it.

I'm fine living with her and being separated for the kids sake. Our situation is a bit different since I worked from home the last 11 years And she's been a stay-at-home mom. Our oldest is 13. So splitting households will be truly devastating for them.

Any advice on how what I should be discussing with the attorney?

As a man I just don't want to be left not seeing my kids fairly and paying child support when I don't have a steady job. I'm working 2 part time 1 month jobs. She's the breadwinner. All of our money was heavily invested into our home. Savings are tight.

I'm just broken right now but need to look ahead and stop looking at the current situation. I can't picture where I will live etc.
