I never have in America but when I travelled with the Army I did several times. It's hit or miss. Taking care of it professionally makes complete logical sense. Takes the edge off, and you can go about your life in a normal manner. However, you haven’t indicated whether it’s legal where you live. I understand why you’d consider it. For me, it would be inconsistent with my values and who I want to be, and for that reason, it wouldn’t feel great afterward. Sort of like porn - it would temporarily scratch an itch but would leave me wanting and unfulfilled afterward.

Setting aside my moral feelings on it, as humans, we were designed for relationship and connection. A transactional exchange like that wouldn’t be satisfying to me.
