Run the date with more locations. Bounce from a bar to a restaurant, etc. Try to walk from place to place. This gives the illusion of having known each other longer. That will make her more comfortable for any escalation.

Your dates are probably too logical and a bit boring. You probably ask too many generic questions and the vibe dies. Getting a kiss is nice but puts more pressure on the second date to do something more. So unless you did create a strong emotional connection, it’s likely to fizzle out.

Its a norm that women step back after first date and wait for you to show interest. If she said something "i had a great time" then you reciprocate and take it slow from there by taking another small step, maybe a calmer date.

My theory is this and this is from coming from 13 years of long term relationships with great loving womens - modern woman now I mean 20-29 are emotionally disabled due to fact they were born with tic tocs instagram, phone was before nipples in their hands and now they are dopamine junkies, which makes standard dating stuff too weak shot to spark something or it gets diminished once they start yet another day with checking the reels and shit. Dopamine overdrive exists and we all suffer from it more or less but women are emotional creatures and this way worse for them. I am not a psychologists but I would write an essay on this from my own observation with dating woman now and dating them like 20 years ago. Back then all it took was a dancing evening with cassette or cd player with DIrty Dancing ost on loop, when hungry eyes hit and you were dancing there was no chance in hell for sparks and butterflies, nowdays you can be good at the 'game' and still after couple of days you are fucking empty. And I mean it, I was dating beautiful girls lately and I couldn't feel a damn spark for them, they seemed so detached emotionally not in the right place, that I didn't work my way either. It is something yet unnamed by the science but like OP noticed, something is very fucking wrong with todays dating and I am not blaming girls only, it concerns us too, we are dopamine junkies who never can get satisfatction at this point and dating used to be peak, now it may not compete with a day on the fucking phone watching reels n shit
