I find jokes like that funny, but I heavily disagree with the other person. No, the person saying a joke isn't funny is NOT worse than my literal rapist. That's just ridiculous to say.

It's like seeing the people who dealt with sexual abuse and mistreatment blaming everyone else but the actual person who did it. Why are people this stupid?

If he thinks it's funny and it's his fantasy, then he needs to adopt what desperate girls say sometimes. "You can't rape the willing."

Having your fantasy be a psychological and boundary sacrificing Mindfuck isn't attractive. It just means you want the ability to deny any encounter you didn't like, but want others to be strongly motivated to conduct that act without your permission.

If it didn't have the caption I wouldn't mind as much. This erasure of male victims in society is the reason why people think these things could only happen in a role reversal society or parallel universe.

I do get pretty frustrated with men who seem set on coping with trauma in the most ignorant ways possible. I've been in other threads where they make things more difficult because of how they choose the publicity cope with their trauma which leads to even more downplaying of male victims.

If he's defending this post, he most definitely doesn't give a shit about other male victims and honestly that's such a weird thing to say, get a better sense of humour bud. In my experience sometimes other victims are the worst people to talk to.

I'll be honest man. Illyasviel is genuinely such a problematic character that even if she actually raped shirou it wouldn't be the worst thing she's done to him if we count the bad ends from the VN. Here the "joke" is just her being her incredibly damaged self and others reacting appropriately.

The thing is, it's not the rape joke that is offensive on its own. It's the hypocrisy about it... Flip the genders and you get lynched. Same with violence or domestic abuse, male is the victim and everybody laughs about it. Reverse the genders and you're suddenly a misogynist... You are entitled to laugh about certain jokes and being offended by a different one. Just stop pushing this double standard. Either everything is allowed or everything is cancelled.

Oh I do understand why people might escape from trauma into humor. If I suffered something terrible done to me, but can't accept that fact, I can always pretend it didn't happen or delude myself into thinking it was great / funny / an opportunity for growth etc. That's how some people cope.

Then, of course, anyone who dares remind me that my trauma was, in fact, trauma, gets shouted down.

I got his point, specially now that in my country, the justice system condemned a dark joke's comedian to prison for jokes like that. Tho it have political reasons too.
