Today I saw a comment from a man responding to the feminist post above. He gave a list of issues that men face but at the end of his little speech he had to force himself to "politely" add how women have it worse than men. I'm not mad at him for doing this. I really do think it's just his way of being polite and not stepping on women who've suffered. But it is kinda sad how even when dedicating time to discuss men's issues, feminists and leftists always have to put up a disclaimer saying "women have it worse."

But that statement isn't exactly as clear cut as they think. If you believe that having it worse means that you live a certain way and have to deal with periods and menopause, sure women do have it a lot worse.

But if you think having it worse means dying younger, then men definitely have it worse.

Having it worse may also mean that when you do suffer you don't get the support you need. And guess who doesn't get the support they need? Men. For instance, homeless men in the West get less help than homeless women and men's mental health doesn't get enough attention. And there's a lot more issues I could list.

That whole "women have it worse" disclaimer annoys the heck out of me because even if you think another problem is smaller, that doesn't mean you shouldn't focus on it. Which is what it seems like they're saying. In fact, if a problem is smaller, you should focus on it a lot more since it's something that can be fixed faster, right?

This is basically what I hear when I see the "women have it worse" disclaimer from a man:

"Men's problems are definitely smaller than women's and we should dedicate more time to focusing on women's issues since they are the oppressed class. As a man, and a member of the oppressor class, I humbly apologize for my intrusion and for taking precious time away from your chat that was meant for the betterment of society. Now ladies please go back to your wonderful discussion on how white capitalist patriarchy is fucking everything up."

It's hilariously sad.

If a man wants to talk about how men are also being assaulted by their partners, they shouldn't have to put up a disclaimer about how women have it worse. Just like how feminists don’t have to put up a disclaimer that says “men are forced to go into battle which is definitely worse” if they're having a discussion about war rape. You can just talk about evil things affecting people without feeling sorry for saying it.

This point is small. But it's very important.

To leave you on a more positive note, I'd like to share this really great song that talks about men's issues.
