Most humans are going to routinely check their phones regardless of what else they are doing to the point where it's an involuntary reflex.

If it's an impulsive glance I can let that go, however if she doesn't quickly put it back down or she is glued to her phone, that's when I walk away and tell her to give my regards to Tyrone

that’s a little much of a conclusion. People have other things going on. If she checks it constantly, that is rude. But if they address it and quickly answer, it’s really not a big deal

There's a difference between checking quickly and paying more attention to it than the date.

If someone quickly checks it I'd assume they have a job that doesn't necessarily end neatly at 5p or have life stuff going on.

If someone was scrolling through their phone on a date, that's a good time to turn it into a game of "disappear without them noticing and wait how long it takes them to notice", lol.

If she just checks it or quickly responds to a text/email, no. Not uncommon to have responsibilities to tend to.

If she decides to start scrolling tiktok or Instagram or something, then yeah I might just end the date, but honestly, that's something that most women would only do if you are a terrible conversationalist or something.

Very few women are that addicted to SM to not be able to put it away for 1.5 hours.

I don't think I've ever experienced someone blatantly checking their phone like that, seems crazy. I've had people check when they are receiving a call, or show me something on their phone, but what just blatantly start reading from their phone mid conversation ? Seems wild and yeah, I would just say 'nice meeting you but got to go'

There can be many reasons why.

Beside emergencies (of varying degrees), she could have ADHD.

It entirely depends on her attitude around it, and not how much time she is on the phone

Your time is as valuable as hers. A mature adult will tell you beforehand if she has an emergency or if she is waiting for an important message/call.

Other than that, she’s not into you. Better to spend your precious time with someone else.

Just call her out or tell her to put the phone away in a non emotional way.

Dont get angry immediately, just have a healthy boundary and communicate that. If she doesnt respect your boundary only then we are in ending it territory, not before.

If she is attracted shell giggle and take your lead for example and all is good.
