Just saying random disconnected lines isn't going to help you. You have to bundle it in a framework of social intelligence by having the ability to talk to anyone.

I'm naturally funny. It really doesn't matter what I say. It's my voice tone and timing. That's what takes a lot of practice and it's what I do every day.

I use every opportunity to meet new people so much that I have it down to a fine art. I'm an introvert in reality who thrives on studying and practicing the art of social engagement.

Then introduce yourself

Then make some small talk

This way the interaction feels organic and natural

It goes from small talk, to humour, back to small talk, maybe something serious, grounded or wise then some more humour and mic drop and leave on a high note.

I feel like a good line is something environmental or personal. Instead of saying something cringe, ask what they just bought at a mall, what they think of politics, what their hobbies are, etc. Also add in a compliment; anything to get a genuine conversation going.
