Just because a demographic is responsible for the majority of a crime, it doesn't imply that the majority of that demographic are criminals. The fact that 90% of violence comes from men doesn't change the fact that 95% of men are non-violent. Finding a partner is hard because compatibility is rare, not because good men are rare.

I believe the stories women and men tell, but we have to remember: we hear way more about the nightmares than the happy endings. No statistic shows that the majority of men are dangerous. It just shows that most women might encounter a few bad apples in their lifetime with the possibility of causing lifelong damage, but not that the whole orchard is rotten.

People don't associate cars with danger, or say that if you travel without an accident you are a lucky one even though we all know stories of accidents happening to people near us.

Seriously, we've all heard the saying of how almost every woman we know has a story of being harassed and/or assaulted by a man, and similarly, almost every single man we know has a story of being harassed and/or assaulted by women.
