Update. Today, I head back home to deal with the situation head on.

Background. She's an habitual cheater. Separated a few weeks ago. Moved back in with my parents for a bit. Seperation agreement drawn up by my lawyer and signed by both of us. We have a child in college (18m).

She moved out this last weekend and according to my neighbor, left the house a mess. She took half the furniture, which is fine. Im selling off the rest as the house gets ready to sell.

So I have to go back and handle everything. Because its just like our marriage. She is out doing what she wants while I have to hold it together. Sell a car. Sell the house. Clean. And the most sad thing of all.... be the only person there for our son.

He stuck in his college dorm and he refuses to talk to her.

The most telling convo was yesterday. He said she finally texted him and he refused to open it. He saw the first couple lines and it was her giving an excuse about why she hasnt reached out in a week.

He then asked me, did she move out?

I said, yes.

He said "what did she all take"

"Furniture, including your bedroom set"

....... silence .........

He then asked who helped her move. I said our neighbor helped her move out.

And then he said... who helped her move in?

I didn't want to say what I knew. And the silence i gave him was the answer he knew to. She not only moved out but she has also moved on.

For me, I knew it was going to happen. Its who she is. But him figuring out that she already had her new BF lined up and she was spening more time with him then even reaching out to her son,... you could hear it in his voice.

Next month will be hard as I get the house sold and will eventually be on an air mattress due to me liquidating the entire estate. But all that matters is I am there for my son.

Last thing I told him was that I was sorry. Hes heard and seen things he should never had. Too much for any kid of any age. The house was broken for a long time and I thought me being able to hold on would eventually fix things.

Staying loyal to an unloyal person creates self destruction. Never forget that.
