Sorry but is he a therapist or is he talking about relationships with men because number 4 till 7 reads like he is going on dates/chitchats and not like he is being "PAID" to listen and "CONFIDENTIALLY" help those people I mean he's job is helping and supporting people via emotional labour does he even know what a therapist is meant to do or is he just guessing

Pop psychology is so incredibly out of tune with the on-the-ground reality of psychology and therapy. Every therapist I've ever worked with, either through my work at school or personally, has always pointed out how much easier men are to work with in therapy. We're eager to open up if you're actually a good listener, and not just telling us what we want to hear.

Ok, after reading the article...
This guy simply lost their ability to connect with other men and is blaming them for it. Their patients TRY to attune with him, they talk about what they like trying to reach a common ground and his response is saying "yeah, yeah, you know about it, let's change the subject".
He just get used to approach things the way women do it and when others use a different method he reads it as "emotional illiteracy".
Even being more honest and redirecting the conversation to things he is really interested would be better than what he is doing: a fake smile and a high dose of copium.

I complained about this in the so-called 'mens lib' sub where it was posted, so they temporarily banned me for 'violating the rules'.

Then when I pointed out that if I'd violated the rules, then so had the OP in the original article (which he had. Three by my count) I got permanently banned.

Talk about the world's biggest misnomer of a sub.
