What I have been saying all along. They defined manosphere as men's rights and criticism of feminism and then pretend that manosphere is Tate & co.

I saw the video. It's disgusting. He said that that hitpiece of a "documentary" was an accurate representation of the manosphere, concealing the diversity of groups and movements in it. He saw the move to the manosphere as the effect of pure propaganda and The Algorithm, sparked by a couple of select issues boys face, such as problems in school.

He completely concealed the effect of approximately 51% of human population. No, according to Steven, women do not contribute at all to problems men face. Feminism is, then, entirely good, not just valid, but only a positive force in our societies. Even though we already have data showing that misandry is rampant online (where those boys spend too much time).

He didn't mention the wide variety of problems boys and men face in the world. He hasn't talked about the lack of any other alternatives they could use, and in particular the complete lack of any movement in that direction on the Left (which he is a part of); the Left being visibly anti-men and using them only when they're needed for votes, which we all saw during Kamala Harris' presidential run. He said nothing about the patriarchy boogeyman.

And finally, he didn't really address strong points coming from the manosphere, of which there are plenty.

There is no rationality in this video. There is no intellectual honesty in this video.

I forgot about this guy he used to talk about atheism back in the day and now this. He makes some valid points however his framing is disingenuous (as expected). He glosses over and ignores systemic misandry that has lead to why boys/men feel disenfranchised in the first place.

I knew he was full of shit when he did his "hard truth about toxic masculinity" video. He just strawmanned that Christian woman who I found very insightful. I keep meaning to look more into her as she was making very interesting points probably inline with Marxist feminism. But Stephen had to discredit her because he criticised a favourite leftist buzzword.

The comments seem pretty detached from the actual video. So many saying young men consume a "shocking" amount of manosphere content and how it's not safe for men and women and it needs to go away. Acting like even the likes of Tate are a cause rather than a symptom. They want it to go away, poof, just like that.

Yeah I can't stand the constant effort to divide us that goes on in social media. Anything that targets a societal problem is good but it's also got potential to go off the rails which often happens. Nothing is good taken to extremes including religion

Even though I'm not a fan the "young boys need role models" solution. Since that's usually a dog whistle to enforced traditional masculinity with a feminist gaze on young boys.
