This was part of the question relevant to my response. "There are a lot of fights going on in a community I belong to and associate my identity with, and most of it has to do with whether it is okay to sexually harass the women in our movement or not. Its been ugly and horrible and has gone on for two years and sometimes I am so icked out and angry I could scream. So, I thought I'd take a break and ask if you have ever had a triumphant moment--a time where you explained a concept/point of privilege/feminist thing to a man in your life and he got it."

This was my response "Rape culture isn't only about women. Men get raped also but the topic is rarely spoken about, or not seen/portrayed as immoral because of the feminist movement. Source- I work with sexual abuse cases and I've seen who gets affected. We need to push for education about all types of abuse that can happen to anyone not just women."

Edit Edit- In response to an earlier question: Yes I'm a woman. I used the phrase feminist movement because feminism only shows women as the victims in society when in fact both men and women can become victims of any sort of harassment. I believe feminism dismisses the male experience and it makes me sad because I think many men, including my father who is a bipolar schizophrenic alcoholic, would have benefited from issues that Mens Rights talk about. Finally I believe feminism makes men angry or sad when blaming societal issues on them. It gets women used to blaming men and not looking at themselves when they have problems. Feminism used to be necessary when they were excluded from the work field or paid unfairly but this is not true today. Men on the other hand have a new era of 21st century issues which I fully support.

In summary- Yes I'm a woman and I'm tired of hearing of feminist/women complain. I'm a Mens Rights activists because I see how mens issues have been ignored.
