I was on a forum talking about BDD when a feminist said, "women develop BDD because they think they should look like the women in fashion magazines. Moreover, it's straight white males that are responsible for women with low BMI's appearring in fashion magazines. It's their ideal type of woman" I was incredulous so I looked up, "The most influential fashion magazine in the world," Vogue, to see who was actually in charge of that magazine and to my surprise(shock) it turns out the editor in chief of Vogue is a woman, as are 15 of the 16 other editors of that magazine. So are straight white men responsible for women and girls developing BDD because they're responsible for women with low BMI's appearring in fashion magazines.
