Pretty much everything this person said is highly debatable and that is including the "addicted" part, because one can get addicted to porn in the same way that an 'adrenaline junkie' gets addicted to stressful situations.

The anti-porn crusader's rebuttal for comparisons to the 'violent video games' panic is that lots of hormones are released during the act, so it's more of a detriment to the brain. This is special pleading because hormones are released during lots of other events that we see as innocuous. Simply moving an arm up and down releases more dopamine to modulate muscle movements and make them precise (unlike Parkinson's patients who have lower dopamine release). Hormones are released 24/7 but it's somehow only a problem when they have something to do with sex. The moral panic about scary hormones (or worse, steroids) is just like the one against 'chemicals' or GMOs.

And yes, porn can have detrimental short-term effects on libido, which is why it isn't good for sexual relationships and why many people rush to label long-term use as an 'addiction,' because long-term users may not give their body any chance to clear up those short-term effects because of compulsive behavior. Regardless of your opinion on porn, you should always be wary of people who make fallacious arguments against it and you should be wary of their motives
