I (46m) started the divorce process with my wife (48F) of 18 years in January of this year. Moved out into my own place in February. We had a dead marriage for many years and were essentially co-parenting (kids 16, 13, 11) roommates with different long term goals. She was also abusive so I feel like I have a new lease on life.

I started going on dating apps soon after settling into my new place. Must have done something right because I started matching with women right away. First time in my life where I’m receiving a lot of female attention. After a few awkward first dates, I started to figure out how to do this whole modern dating thing.

My first issue is that I’m struggling with is how to chat with and date multiple women at the same time. Over the weekend, I accidentally sent a message to the wrong woman. It just happened to be the woman I liked the most of all and I don’t think there’s any coming back from it. How do you all manage the whole dating multiple women?

The second is that I’m finding the dating apps to be extremely addicting. Receiving attention from multiple women at one is an ego boost. However, the longer I use them the more time I spend on them. It’s not healthy. Has anyone figured out how to use the dating apps without getting totally consumed by them?
