You'll need more than cosmetic procedures to climb the hypergamy ladder... Try an internal makeover because your attitude is way off. Sounds like you two deserve eachother. Even if he's a beta loser, you treat him with such tempt and scorn...that makes you the bigger loser. You're waiting to branch swing but you should just leave him because you have a lot of work to do on yourself before you can become an asset to any man. Good partners bring out the best in each other. A gracious, humble and feminine woman can encourage a man to be the best of who he already is, but she cannot expect him to do a complete 180. Men are not our little DIY projects and you will never be happy trying to change him. And you will never be happy relying on you outside shell to get you a satisfying relationship with a good man.

I've been saving up to get a few cosmetic procedures done and had my mind set on leaving him once I'm prettier, to hopefully get someone better. But there are no guarantees. So I want to see if I can do what I can with what I have, before trying to get something new.

I doubt anyone here would advise "changing" your husband/ boyfriend. We don't try to control our caption, we support him in his choices and goals.
We don't talk badly about our husband. Really if you don't love him and you are not attracted to him why are you wasting both your time and his.
In order to have a good captain, or even just be happy you need to better yourself. It's not about what's on the outside, while men obviously like attractive women, there are plenty of attractive women. To be the sort of woman men don't want to swap out for the next pretty face and nice butt you need to be kind, interesting, loyal. You need more than what plastic surgery will give you.

The only person you can change is yourself. The only way he will change is if he decides on his own to change, but I really don't see that happening.

Has he made any changes in his life since getting a job? Sometimes a job, if it is a good one that makes people want to rise above, will spur change. But if it's just a job that isn't anything special, he will remain the same.

You need to focus on changing yourself - not him. Your problems are far more concerning, and you are the only person that you can change.

You sound like an entitled brat without any concept of respect or humility. Read the sidebar. Know your faults, and work on your own behaviors. Look at the way you describe the man you are supposed to love and respect. If you ended up with someone that undesirable, you didn't 'fall' for the 'nice' trap (whatever that means) - you failed to filter for, attract, and earn the commitment of a good man that you respect and trust. Entering into a relationship with someone that you can't respect or trust is a failure on your part, not a 'trick' on his. No one forced you to date this man.

Leave him, he deserves the opportunity to be with someone that isn't so hostile towards him. Then focus on overhauling yourself because there's a lot you need to work on.
