Don't do this from a place of depression or in an effort to feel better. It's most likely to leave you feeling more empty, and will have repercussions far after the bout of depression is a distant memory.

On top of seeking professional help, what is your diet like? There are more and more studies suggesting the connection between brain and gut. If your diet is shit, it's very likely your mental state will suffer. I can vouch for this having been a malnourished college student. It felt like death and I cried all the time not knowing wth was wrong with me. It might be helpful to make some positive changes like eating healthy and exercising, if you don't already.

you sound depressed. see if your school has a mental health center and see if you can talk to a therapist. that was very beneficial for me when i went through this. also, it's helpful to keep in mind that oftentimes depression is a chemical imbalance which means that it's nothing you did or can control. best of luck

You sound like you're depressed. I would make an appointment with your primary care physician and start on the road to getting you help. Get a referral for a psychiatrist. Tell a trusted friend or family member so you aren't going through this alone.

This is a really common feeling in college, most people go through it, it doesn't mean it's easy.

Can you tell us what you do feel good about yourself presently? Take a minute and think carefully. Think about your physical, mental, emotional, interpersonal, past accomplishments, etc.

What's your goal after college? What are you studying?
