This would devalue your accomplishments. The memory of the former condition provides a barometer to measure forward progress, not rage.

Anger is a gift if you can harness it into constructive action. Given enough time you will look back and ask yourself, who the fuck was that guy? Then the anger is gone and you will miss it because there are few more powerful motivators for change.

The anger drifts in occasionally. Usually at the pathetic version of me and at lost opportunities and wasted time. Sometimes I get stuck in the anger/memories when I am driving alone and have nothing to focus on. When I stay in the present I am fine.

I'd suggest an aggressive cut with IF and keto, you may need to deload a bit on lifts for a little while, but if you keep protein up you can retain muscle mass, and drop a bunch of fat, typically 10-20 pounds the first couple weeks and then a pound a week or more thereafter. Beauty with keto is, the more fat you have, the more quickly it tends to burn off.

But look, your lifts are impressive as fuck. It's awesome that you're on TRT and getting shit sorted. It sounds like you're maybe still a bit of a manatee, but you're a manatee that can lift some heavy shit.

For the most part, just keep doing what you're doing man.

From time to time, I will go back and revisit past me, it motivates me to keep my foot on the pedal.

My experience is that the anger is always there. It takes different forms - which can even include being angry at men who are pathetic examples of the species/gender. The only solution/comfort I have found is directing that anger energy into lifting and getting my shit done, and/or creating. Good, rough sex is also a great redirection as well. It’s likely that nature intended it to be this way.

Anger is probably the best emotion to be feeling out of any right now and arguably one of the most powerful motivational forces in the world. Change doesn’t happen when everything is hunky dory and acceptably “fine.” More often than not, changing for the better is the result of people feeling some injustice in the world, and getting pissed off enough to do something about it. Anger has fueled poor people to work their ass off out of poverty. It has been the fire in the belly of many athletes who would later become champions. Shit, get people angry enough and they can topple entire governments.

Anger is good and it’s there for a reason. Just embrace it and redirect it toward something productive.

It eventually completely goes away once you have complete control of yourself and the direction and quality of your life. Once it's all going the way you want it, you stop caring what it was like before and are only proud of what you've made it now.
