TL;DR Is RP any different when you are the only adult male left in your family? All other men are either dead or left because their wives were miserable wenches.

New to MRP and still going through the side-bar and catching up on all of the reading.

I have two daughters and one son. All of the men on my mothers side have passed away. My father has passed away (only child). For my wife, she has two sisters (none married) and a mother who has been divorced 3x. My MIL has one sister, divorced with 2 daughters. I have a sister, who is divorced with a daughter and a 3yr old boy.

I want to instill a sense of being a man, a father and a champion in life to my son despite the absolute chaos and disrespect for men that exists in my family. Sometimes, I find this very hard at family gatherings when all the women are together - constantly needing to defend the rights of myself or men in general.

Starting out its hard as I don't have all the tools yet, but I was wondering from the group if my strategy should be any different? I have no older men or any men for that matter to align myself with in the extended family. I think the importance of what I do for my son is even more serious given the strong sense of feminism I'm surrounded with.

My life has been utter hell at times because Hillary lost. That was a victory for me and my son but its really like being on the firing line sometimes as a lot of these women take out their hate on Trump on me.

I want to make sure my full journey into RP is done right. For myself and my son (and my sister's little boy).
