She is chasing your validation if you never say it first. She is in the submissive position. That is where you want her, not sure where exactly she stands with you. You want her wondering if she is good enough for you. Not the other way around. I don't think people say I love you because they thought you forgot. They say it so you say it back. It seems to stem from insecurity in my opinion.

So when you say it first you are coming across as insecure and needing validation. Not a good look.

Little bit of offtop, but FYI, me for example, tend to say it on the 1st year anniversary. From my perspective it shows your LTR that you dont throw words at wind, but idk. I feel like 1 year is needed to really go out of honeymoon phase and to be perfectly clear with urself about ur feelings to her.

If LTR was shorter than 1yr, well, good for me

“I love you” should never be given with expectations for a return “I love you too”

Unfortunately this is 90% of the time how people use it.

If a girl says that to me waiting for me to return a loving statement. I am going to say nothing and kiss her.

And when I feel complete love and acceptance for my girlfriend I am going to say it without expecting anything from her. Yes that’s vulnerable and puts me in a weak position, but it’s real and courageous and I value authenticity and courage.

Jeezas chriss, they're just fucking words. If it's going to make things easier with a plate, yeah, I love her too. I love everyone. Does that mean I want to live with them? Uhm, those words were not spoken. Pay no attention to words.

At what point do you guys on here get that the red pill is not a set of rules, beliefs, or dogmas, it’s about as a man doing what you want to do. If u want to say I love you just say it.

Girls who love you don't play games with who's going to say it first. That's for girls who are more in love with the idea of being in love than with you.

You, however, sometimes have to wait. Not for the sake of your ego, which would be silly. But because you have to maintain the upper hand to keep her attraction high.

It's a big mistake to say it in a relationship. It will make you come across as weak, and like others said she will work harder for your affection if you don't say those words. Personally I only say "I love you" to my father, my mother and my sisters.
