Once a boy is old enough to wipe his own ass, a father needs to raise him the rest of the way. Motherly affection and all that shit is great for toddlers, but during later childhood and adolescence, mom's job is to feed him, maybe help him get ready for school, etc., but she can't give him what he needs to be a socially functional male. Mothers only know how to protect their sons from the world, they are unable to see their sons as future men who need to be raised to be successful participants in the world. So, blame dad. Not mom.

For decades i thought that my mother was dumb. Well she is, but i had to realize (after TRP) she is incredibly solipsistic. Like THE most solipsistic woman ever. Obv. she had to compensate her lack of intellect. You had 0 chance to explain anything to her logically. The only way was, to relate to her past experiences, if you could connect the past with the present, there was a chance.

The sad part is we never agreed on ANYTHING, and i'm pretty sure we never will. But understanding the concept of solipsism helped our relationship a lot (on my side). I understood that it's not her fault, she cannot help it, that's how she thinks or makes decisions.

It's pretty clear this best friend of his has already turned him down multiple times before. She's totally un-surprised and says "you know what my answer is" in a we've been over this before tone, and at the end he's still like "I will love you forever <3".

If he doesn't listen to the girl he likes telling him she does not like him, why would he listen to his mom? If the kid doesn't listen to wisdom, then she's gotta let him make the mistake and find out via experience.

Mom gave me good advice once, advice she didn't follow herself, but it worked great for me. She said "don't give a damn what people think" and the thing in her life she cared most about was "what would they think if they saw that". Last year, she told me to go for older women, closer to my age because my second wife was 13 years younger than me. No mom, single women in their forties are single for good reasons, usually shortsightedness and bad choices. I will stick to the 20somethings, that way I can enjoy their best years rather than their worst. Traded in both wives for younger models at 28 and 31 respectively. Never going to be married again.

At best a mother gives her son bad advice due to well-meaning ignorance or just negligence. That's giving her the benefit of the doubt - assuming she's not a bitter man-hater who's effectively abusing her male child/children to get back at the alphas who P&D'd her by proxy.

My mom is a great woman with a masters in child psychology, and shes old enough that the profession was still run by men when she got her degree, mind you. And she also did the exact same thing. I had a conversation with her about it, and in the end she admitted to me and herself that she ommitted several very important truths about dealing with women when i was a teenager, just like that mom did in the show. She couldnt explain why.

My mom loves me and would give an6thing for my happiness, so it seems like they dont do it consciously. Women are always uncounsciously playing for team women. They will only give advice that encourages you hand over time, work, and attention to women for free. Telling the truth to sons puts the next generation of girls at a disadvantage, and why would they do that?

Stefan Molyneux has commented extensively on this. Mothers have the same self-serving instincts as any another woman. AWALT. If she sees you being manipulated by a woman, she's going to realize (consciously or subconsciously) that this means she can manipulate you too. Battles between wives and mother-in-laws are usually just battles over who can best control the son/husband. Often times, these rivals settle into an unwritten truce where they share power over the man.

This is why most women won't protect their sons from unhealthy relationships. The more he wakes up to abuse and manipulation, the more her interests are threatened.

Molyneux has additionally pointed out that when you find yourself in/escaping an abusive relationship, you not only need to question that relationship (what made you fall for it), but every other friend and family member around you. Why were they not identifying and warning you about this person, and trying to drag you away from the danger? If they did, and you didn't listen, then they're ok. If they had concerns but didn't voice them, talk to them about it. Find out if there's something about you that makes people fearful of giving you the hard truth. Most of all, though, you need to be concerned if they didn't see the danger, or didn't care.

In general, a bad [romantic] relationship is usually the product of a bad childhood. A person who was raised by people who genuinely care and want the best from them isn't easily lured into a trap by a self-serving person. Question whether your inner circle really cares.

This shit needs to come from the father. Women, mothers included, are not very good at seeing things for what they are. Also father's advice in manly things will be received much better than mother's (yeah, mum, whaddayaknow?).

I recommend reading Iron John by Robert Bly. It discusses the dynamic of mother's and father's influence on a male child as well as the death of male initiation rituals. It's really eye-opening and very intuitive.

The lack of positive masculine influence boys nowadays experience is really sad. Feminists ask where have all the good men gone? The irony of this baffles me.

My mother was controlling, obsessive, narcisistic and I am grateful for having cut her off completely. This seems to be the case with most moms, as the moment the masculine influence is missing from their lives they go overboard on virtually everything.

Even in motherhood, women will remain narcisistic. Altough their actions might benefit the child, first and foremost they must benefit themselves.

In the modern world children are just another jewel in a handbag. Children are not valued as offspring really. Think about it.

If a woman loves alpha but settles for children with betas has she not done genetics and the human race a disservice? she has let the good genes die in a condom and let the weak pushover win.

Take this a few logical conclusions further and you have to wonder if women wanting and having children is about creating a valid offspring or if it is more about some sign of social achievement.

My mother met a man that she turned down when he asked her to dance. She rejected him and had her friend dance with him instead.

Later my mother meets my father. Father goes to Vietnam. Comes home, they get married and have three sons. My father proceeds to abuse all of us emotionally, if not physically as well.

Man my mother rejected marries her friend, has three kids as well.

My father cheated (can't blame him on that though). Mother divorces him, lives the woe is me lifestyle spending the next year and a half traveling the country and enjoying herself on my father's dime then dies.

Man my mother rejected gives the eulogy at her funeral. Awesome guy, still married to my mother's friend.
