Less is more. Too much texting tells her that you are too invested. I usually call and set up dates.

Your issue is impulse control. You feel like doing something, and although you know it has a bad result you do it anyway.

Why are you on your phone a lot? Nothing more important to be doing? Get busy with life and this stupid thought process will go away.

What seems to be working for me is varying my response time; sometimes it's immediate, others it might take hours or a couple days. Don't fall into the trap of always waiting X hours to reply or the girl will catch up and either lose interest or play the same game. The golden ratio of 2/3 and never being the one to send the last text seem to be very good rules to live by, tho.

Just be a busy man. You should not have the time to answer every text in 10 seconds. Don't play games, answer according to your availability.

There’s a theory in communications that says people can still build rapport in the virtual world as they can the physical, however it’s not as effective and takes more time. Part of building that rapport is the rate you contact the other person back. Basically my point in this is that it’s not bad to text back fast... but do it sparingly. I would suggest at the beginning it would be fine to text back quick, but if you always text back quick, her hamster isn’t turning.

Text for logistics only.

Texting back fast is seen as needy and will make her see you as less desirable.

Taking your time to reply shows you don't give a fuck, will give her anxiety and make her want you more.

Don’t worry about this. Just text for logistics. Save the talking for in person where you let body language do most of the work.
