Because the idea that females prefer that is nonsense and overblown and as usual people take research out of context.

What research fines is that females are overwhelmingly more likely than males to accept a rich and powerful but old mate. So people then take that research's conclusions and conclude that since females are more likely to do it than males that means that all females like that whislt in reality it's still a small faction.

People do that a lot, turning a plurality into an entirety.

They do, but it's usually related to achievement the teen relates or aspires to rather than dollar signs. My daughter has a picture of Elon Musk standing in front of a Spacex rocket. She's never gone off about how hot he is or expressed any attraction to him, but I think it's safe to say innovators and risk takers have an element of attractiveness.

I'm 21 and I have a framed antique picture of Teddy Roosevelt in my dorm room and no other wall decoration. My grandmother bought it to be patriotic when she first came to the United States and hung it in the classroom once she got her teaching certification, my dad brought it to college with him, it was hanging in our house until I took it to school with me.

Up until I was ~12 I thought it was a picture of my grandfather who died before I was born. Oh, was I shocked when I hit 6th grade social studies...

Um. Being rich or powerful isn't exactly a visual thing.

Even if those were every bit as important as some people insist, that's not exactly something that a picture would capture very well.

Some chicks do. But most of the time, people prefer to hang pictures of things that are aesthetically pleasing to them. Old wrinkly men and women don't tend to be aesthetic.
