I made a post here about "neediness" vs. "independence."

Two responses struck me as useful starting points for a clarification thread.

First, this one:

I can't read half the complex tomes everyone is writing here. This is simple. Men don't like "neediness", they like "wantiness".

  • "independence" + "neediness" is an oxymoron and impossible
  • "independence" + "wantiness" is perfection

Second, this one:

"neediness" vs. "independence"?

Wrong metric.

The important dimension is "entitled" vs "reciprocal".
