Because they are above average? You're right that simply not being fat puts you at above "average" these days... It's not that standards are too low, it's that a freaking lot of people are fat, so the average is just not skinny.

How is this not just a giant self pity re-boot. People who are realistic about themselves end up generally attracting and ending up with somebody similar. A lot of unhappy singles, men and women are choking on their own bitterness about being single because they are deluded about themselves about what and who they deserve or think they should attract. Note there are also men and women who are single, not bitter and content to actually be single, I am not talking about them.

Yes of course this is true. Eggs are rare and expensive, sperm is plentiful and cheap. Women have innate value because they can grow the babies, men don't. Yes the world is a fucked up gynocentric nightmare but it's not like we can change it. It will change once the state goes bankrupt trying to fund all this crazy shit they can't possibly fund.
