Hey -- I have this a lot of the time. It's b/c my hips are super wide for my frame, so I have to be ''heavy'' for my thighs to begin touching (heavy means like 125lbs, but I'm short af). And I feel like my thighs are always ''thick'' because that's how my body is shaped.

I have a few friends who have this, too & it's def not just the way that they're standing. It's just b/c wide hips, really -- which is also why heaps of super skinny, narrow-hipped women don't have thigh gaps.

Obviously, this kind of depends on how you define ''thick'', though.

An actual thigh gap that appears in a natural stance is very rare. Most of the time a girl has to stand a certain way to achieve it. If you pay attention to thinner girls who have "thigh gaps" in pictures, you'll notice their feet are usually turned inward. That's not a natural way to stand, they do it to create the gap (and also because it's seen as a submissive, childlike, "cute" stance.)

I don't think that's true. I have a thigh gap, even when my feet are perfectly aligned and straight. I am pretty thin, but it also depends on the shape of your pubic bone. If you have a wide pelvis and are thin, it's definitely possible.

However the women in the pictures have much higher BMIs than I do. I don't think it would be possible for thicker women to have natural thigh gaps.

I am not an applicant as I don't have the GODly social skills that most premeds need. Hell, my unGODly social skills deficits have caused a GODly amount of difficulty for me; social interactions are an unGODly minefield that can get me chewed up in a truly GODly fashion. So I'm thinking about engineering, a field known for having a truly GODly amount of Aspies. I don't get to do the GODly work of a doctor, but it's honest work, and there are some GODly engineers with GOD tier accomplishments that have made GODly contributions to society.

I have an unGODly amount of worry that the interview will act as a GODly screen to screen out people with GOD level social skill deficits. I've heard someone with GODly stats and GODly ECs can still be sunk by GODly social skills deficits.

My GPA is by no means GODly; it's a little below average.

What /u/Offhisgame said. For young guys tattoos are often a big turn on, don't be fooled by the more conservative members of PPD they do not make up the majority. Tattoos are extremely popular among young adults in general and a lot of guys love them some ink on their girls.

Yeah I've had a different experience in the UK personally, because the culture is different. The real upper class here are aristocrats, and you can't become one of those off money alone, so the UMC in the UK pretend to be aristocrats. They'll give their kids names like fucking Benedict Cumberbatch and drive around in their Range Rovers and pretend to be toffs. Not exactly the kind of people to party with haha.

US. I don't think that what you describe is uncommon for a lot of girls I went to college with, but I guess I wouldn't necessarily consider a lot of them upper middle class.

I went to a private girls high school and I think that less than 5% of those girls have a tattoo.

Yeah, I think it might be a cultural difference. I also went to a private girls' HS (before I went to nerd school, lol) -- I think it's a 50/50 split when it comes to tattoos for those girls.

The people I associated with in college were, in general, even wealthier however -- my university + degree attracted fairly well-off people -- and also lots of tattoos.

ETA: Perhaps your definition of UMC is different to mine? I do always wonder about this on PPD. I'm talking about people who regularly engage in activities like sailing, live in affluent suburbs, believe it is ''bourgeois'' to drive certain types of 4WDs, probably have cleaners, send their children to private schools, potentially have a nanny, parents probably on some cultural committee or other. Some people probably own yachts, some kids have trust funds.

Also my parents nailed it in to my head from a young age that tattoos are trashy and that if I got one they would cut me off (in college). A lot of my friends parents had similar attitudes towards tattoos.

I'm Australian! Not all of the people I went to University with were wealthier than the people I went to high school with, but the people around me in my 1st or 2nd year were (the ''college'/dorm' I lived in kind of selected for that).

My parents also think tattoos are trashy -- as do the parents of all of my friends who got them. Lots of us got them as a rebellion, others because we wanted to. I've noticed that there's a lot of eyeroll ''Mum, it's no longer blue collar, get over it!'' going on, especially among people who are a bit ''hipster''.

People time them well with particular life events (like a break-up or graduation) so that their parents won't be too pissed off.
