Many songs performed by male artists were composed by women such as Carole King. It's hard to tell, in pop music, who actually wrote the song.

Frequently, a performer's image is based on a marketing scheme, not what he or she actually wants to convey.

Moreover, it's hard to get a clear count of women artists in the past because many of them, like Clara Schumann, weren't even recognized until recently. Some of them had to adopt male names to be published, like George Sand.

Did it ever occur to you that the songs about women in clubs might target male audiences? And aren't men writing songs about getting laid and break-ups?

Calm your mind. Here's a woman singing a very unselfish love song. It's as vague as most chart toppers, but the reason they're vague is so that other people can use them to say what they, themselves, can't.

As for acts of love, through art... I've been in relationships with artists, and the very last thing I want to unwrap, is a picture of how they see me when they're drooling over me.

That's more of a gift to themselves. I'd rather receive one that shows how she herself, feels about me...but there she is, in person! In 3D! Like a living sculpture!

Just like the day before, and after. And a lot of other days, too.

Put it to you this way - any gift I received, just for me, isn't going to scream "Love" to anyone except me.

I can see you have absolutely no idea what's wrong with your premise.

"Throughout histories", dear fellow, women had enormous difficulty in joining artist guilds. Unless they were rich. Or unless their father was an artist. They also had to choose between marriage/children and art - men didn't have to make that choice. Women were also banned from training with male nudes. And guess which art had the largest commissions? Nudes! Because women artists (the few of them that were around) weren't able to study the male body, they more often painted.and sculpted.. WOMEN!

but jokes aside, there are plenty of songs like the ones you claim women write that are from male artists; this is not a unique type of song to female artists. and, likewise, plenty of songs that are positive about men from women as well (from relatively popular artists). what a silly OP.
