Firstly, I am not convinced that TRP actually works, because I haven't seen it for myself and I haven't read any studies that would suggest that it does. However, for the purpose of discussion, I'm willing to assume that TRP is just as successful as it's adherents claim.

Given this assumption, I think a reasonable follow up question is to ask why does RP work so well? Let's take a controversial claim of TRP as an example; women respond favourably when you treat them like stupid, inferior brats. The assumption is that women like to be treated as dumb cunts, and that's why this works. However, I suspect that this is not actually the case. When a RPiller treats a woman this way, she doesn't actually know that he is thinking 'this girl is a stupid, worthless brat'. In fact, he is probably purposefully concealing this belief. If he told her this outright in a non-joking manner, she would undoubtedly respond unfavorably. So how can we say that she enjoys being treated as an inferior brat when she doesn't actually know that she is being treated as an inferior brat?

Let's look at the less controversial example mentioned in my title. Public speakers are often given the advice to imagine that their audience is naked. The audience might respond more favorably to a speaker who uses this heuristic, because he is less nervous and appears to be more comfortable. He talks confidently and with less hesitation. This is what the audience likes. No one would say that the audience enjoys being imagined naked (although this might actually be true for other reasons).

So my question is how much of RP success can be attributed to this effect? Man believes woman to be a stupid brat -> Man is less nervous and awkward -> Women responds favorably to man's increased confidence and not his belief that she is a dumb bitch.

If you agree, then we cannot justify RP beliefs through their practicality. We cannot say that since the audience enjoys speakers who imagine them naked, that the audience enjoys being imagined naked. Along the same lines, women sleeping with men who treat them like inferiors, does not mean that women are sexually attracted to men who think they are inferior. Instead, women are attracted to confident men, and the belief that produces the confidence is actually irrelevant.
