Not married, and see no point to any type of commitment at this point in my life. TBH the only sane reason I see to commit is having children.

There's zero social stigma attached to being a divorced man who never intends to marry again. Being attractive and promiscuous as a man isn't judged. Not having any reason to commit to a woman means that you have more time and money for yourself.

Note that these are all short term, hedonistic benefits.

Freedom is awesome. You can do what the fuck you like. The people complaining about it are mostly those who can't get laid. Yup. I'm married but we have completely seperate bank accounts. We split rent and food 50/50. She makes her own money and I make mine. I don't have to pay for shit for her (although I sometimes do because I like my partners to have nice things and feel appreciated). I don't buy her gas, her car, her insurance, her hobbies, her dance lessons, none of that shit. This of course is a big savings over many traditionalist marriages.

Any benefits to the end of marriage?

Uh yeah, people won't be contractually obligated to be in relationships they find terrible? Men will have more bargaining power when they can walk away at any time? Everyone in all genders will have the freedom to find fulfilling relationships ad hoc and the SMP will be much more liquid. Market liquidity==good.

Any possible perks to the uprising of polyamory?

Hmm...lets see. This week I had sex twice a day, every day. In fact, I can't remember the last day I didn't get laid. My wife begs me to fuck her when I come home from seeing my girlfriend, and vice versa. Tomorrow, I'm going to BDSM top a plate of mine who I haven't seen in a while, and both of them know about it and don't care, and next week one of their mutual friends (a friend of both my girlfriend and my wife) asked me explicitly if she could be one of my plates (although not quite in those words).

But no, no benefits at all.

There's a bunch of murders and subsequent imprisonments that don't happen because people are allowed to terminate marriages they have become desperately unhappy in. IMO, MGTOW is a great option for most men. Most men can provide for themselves, and can be much more frugal living alone. They'll have more time and money to spend on things they really want, without worrying about the needs of a partner or children.

I think the biggest issue with our current SMP is the number of men who (at least think they) desire physical intimacy and validation but are unable to get it. Figuring out how to keep these men satisfied might be one of the biggest challenges of our modern society. Legalized prostitution may help, somewhat, but it does not provide the real validation that a relationship can (at least temporarily) provide.

Currently, MGTOW is great for guys like me who have been on both sides of the equation. I've experienced being an incel, and at different times experienced being desired by multiple women and having a relationship with a woman who worships me. I feel like I would have no problem at all going forward on my own, satiating my sexual desire with porn and masturbation.

It's the guys who have never experienced real intimacy at all who have the worst psychological trouble being forever alone.

Besides the obvious hedonistic stuff associated with sex... you can busy yourself and focus on artistic/cultural/practical pursuits with way more time and effort. You form stronger bonds with your male friends too since neither of you have a wife to worry about keeping happy. Plates are much lower maintenance than a live-in LTR or wife.

You gain all these things, but obviously you lose out on things like family, children and legacy. Relevant reading from IllimitableMan was posted today.
