Men and women use distinctly unalike thinking, but are able to come to the same reasoning, idea, or thought.
Two people can take different processes to get to the same conclusion. You can take right and I can go left, we can both journey on our ways encountering different things, meet up at the destination and share our different stories with each other, talk about similarities and differences, and have a good time.
I believe this fully applies to people.
I recently heard a story:
A man recently got promoted and became a manager. After a month he was getting complaints that he was displaying misogynistic behavior. He had no idea why. The man decides to change his way of communicating to the employees who he was in charge of.
When a man came to him with a problem, he simply told the man what he needs to do to solve the problem. The man would then leave and solve the problem. Everything was great, both parties were happy with the outcome. When he applied this same method to women employees, they would leave angry. He changed his method with women employees.
When a women employee would come with a problem, he would not say anything. Instead he would listen to the problem. He is the manager and was once in her position, he knows how to solve the problem. He listens to her speak, but tries to control the communication strictly to work related conversation. When she is done speaking he will give some guidance but not direct orders on how to solve the problem.
He claims that the women leave his office happy, he gets no more complaints, and they go on to solve the problem.
TL;DR:
For women only please.
-
A man can treat other men who they work with as strangers. No personal connection at all. It will not negatively effect him in a work environment.
-
Treating women in the workplace the same as men leads to complaints from women.
-
A man should treat women he works with as completely individual persons. He should listen to them and approach every situation differently.
Does applying this to other situations work/make sense?
