it's not the LITERAL JOB that a woman has, it's her mindset around said job. She could have the busiest, most stressful job in the world, and it won't matter if she respects and values her SO.

The issue is that most women post mid-management level of their career get there by sacrificing other important aspects of their life -- friendships, family, and romantic relationships. Not only do these kinds of women volunteer this sacrifice, but they often refuse to switch priorities once already in a relationship.

It's a dealbreaker for some men, a flag to consider for others.

I love my career (government relations/advocacy) but I'd quit on the spot if my husband asked me to.

It is women who judge their careers relative to men. It is women who judge if men make more or less than them. It is women who judge if a man is as career driven as she is. Women don't like dating or marrying down the social ladder (as a general rule).

On the other hand, men don't care if a women makes 10k or $1m, if she is keeping his belly full and balls empty (to be poetically crude).

The Red Pill lesson, as I understand it, is not to worry about a particular career or income level. It is relative career and income that matters and preferably the male is the higher rank.

The upside for men is that they can rebalance the scale by being charismatic and physically attractive.

Being a career woman isnt about the type of career, its about her attitude.

If she can't put man/family/other important life things first, she is a careerist slag. No one wants to be cucked by a woman's job, or boss.

Too many of the chicks I run into at work have no/little life or interests outside of work. Other than fucking randoms, of course.

They basically use dudes for entertainment. They want men with "stories" and "passions" which they can vicariously experience and leech off of.

If, conversely, a chick spends a lot of time helping out her family and relatives, pursuing actual cool interests that arent just money, shopping, work, etc., and actually caring about men she's with, then she's ok by me.

I reject your frame and substitute my own.

If she is not willing to subordinate her career for the good of her relationship with me, she has too much career. If her career is more important than her personal relationships, especially her relationship with her man, she has too much career for a relationship.

EDIT: And it's OK for a woman to have "too much career" for a relationship, if that's really what they want and that's really where they want to devote their time and energies. It's just that she isn't going to be heard to complain later when she's 38 that it's "really hard" to find "quality men" (read - good looking, wealthy, accomplished, high status men around her age who are willing to marry her and give her one designer kid).

I don't want to hear that men just fuck and chuck her. I don't want to hear that she's spending Friday nights alone. I don't want to hear that the hot men she used to date don't text her back. I don't want to hear that she can't get a date. Fuck you, you made your choices, you made your bed. Lie in it.

Much as I told the nice housewife with two little kids who feels "constricted" and "wants her freedom" after getting married to a high beta/low alpha as a young woman -- TOUGH SHIT. It's too late. You chose your life. You have to live out the consequences.

The point at which an "amount of career" is too much for a woman, is when it's enough that she complains about missing out on things she values due to her career, and then demands she have her cake and eat it too. E.g., "It's unfair that I miss out on career advancement while popping out kids. Paid leave isn't enough. Do something about this wage gap!"

It's not a question of career, but of values. What priority does the work have in the woman's life? How much debt is she carrying from student loans? How much does her self-esteem depend on the status she gets from her job? Would she be willing to scale down her career efforts to raise children?

A "career woman" is simply a woman that holds career as a primary goal. In reference to standard traditional mores, this means sacrificing family for work. There are trade-offs in this.

My reasoning for staying away from career women is because they are gone for to many hours and their lives are centered around that career..

Life is short..

There are more important things then driving the latest BMW, or having the biggest house.

Life is about spending time with family, not chasing the almighty dollar

I don't believe most women have the fortitude for most careers. They seem to tend toward histrionic behavior under the stress of any kind of career pressure. I think the ideal "female careers" are probably nursing, childcare, schoolteacher, prostitute, etc.

But, to step into your frame for a moment....

It depends less on her job title and income and much more on her attitude and approach toward work, relationships, the interplay between the two, and the priority she gives those things in her life. If a kindergarten teacher puts in 65 hours a week and takes on three other after school things at the school and works on extracurricular clubs and is going for a master's so she can go into administration, then the K teacher's a bad bet.

If the Management consultant for McKinsey works 30 hours a week from home and refuses to travel, turns down promotions or transfers, has her life set so she can work wherever she is, and is actively seeking a husband, then she's a pretty damn good bet.
