Red pill theory holds that aggressiveness, competitiveness and dominance are integral personality traits of the alpha male. To what extent can they be learned?

I ask because my dad is very passive / beta. My mom completely runs the relationship. That mean both my genetics (assuming it is at least partially genetic) and upbringing contribute to my fairly beta personality. I am 29 so my personality is solidifying but I still think changes can be made.

  • Hate recommending restaurants. Only recommend restaurants that are recommended by other people. I have tried overcoming this. I took some new friends to a restaurant I liked. The whole experience was very painful. It seems I can be dominant temporarily, but it is very uncomfortable. .

  • Big groups I am almost completely silent. Seriously...if we're a group of 5 people, there's a good chance I'm going to say almost nothing.

  • In some personality tests, "dominance" is a personality trait (meaning that it is fairly stable in most people)

  • At work, whenever challenged by a coworker, I always back down.

  • In college, a friend proposed a friendly gym competition because we were both lifting weights and we went to the gym together. I backed down (!).

  • To some extent this might be a lack of confidence
