Ideal partner count for men and women?

We talking about what's good for society or me? Cause if it's society, then the ideal partner count would probably be 1. The idea being that sexual freedom is an individual right, not necessarily one that benefits society.

Now if we're talking about me, after consulting with my science advisers we have determined that my lifetime recommended dose of pussy is around 3,523,843,881.

Personally, partner count doesn't bug me, so long as the person didn't get a high number through being unfaithful. (Bi-female).

There is no one ideal. People want different things and they want different sorts of relationships.

For me, in my mid forties, if I was single again and decided to look for love/sex I think I'd have in mind for myself the sort of guy who had maybe one to three previous long term relationships and zero to six short/medium term relationships. Obviously there is wiggle room, also I've got at least one virgin male friend my own age or older I'd consider making a one time offer to.

As for how many is ideal for women, I couldn't begin to say. There is no doubt that having had a bit of relationship experience tends to lead to less intense honeymoon infatuation, and from my perspective less infatuation at the start is probably a good thing for setting up a LTR that will keep functioning. Obviously a lot of TRP men disagree and prefer a woman to be totally cock struck at the beginning of the relationship and seem to think (irrationally in my opinion) they can keep her that way. Once again, different perspectives lead people to prefer different things.

I would prefer a boyfriend with 0-5 partners past partners. I'm more concerned if he engages in casual sex rather than just his partner count. So a guy with 5 past serious relationships is better than a guy who had 3 one night stands. Naturally I don't have short term affairs so I can't say how experienced of a guy I would want. Other people might be different, this seems more of a matter of personal wants. I don't think that people with a high count are used up or anything, I just don't like their liberal views of sex.

I've slept with two male virgins. I don't regret either and thought it was rather romantic, even if it wasn't particularly good or graceful. It works out well in a LTR as people learn and get more skilled.

I could care less about number, high or low be it a fling or a LTR. What I care about is if I like the person, that's a hard enough task in itself if I obsessed over numbers I'd only be hurting myself.

Scenario:

"I met the greatest person! We both dig art, gardening, hiking. We agree on life goals, the best chemistry I've ever had with anyone, my mother loves him but since he's had more sex than me I'm going to toss away what would have been a fulfilling, happy experience"

To me that's some tragic logic.

Its not that women prefer a high partner count in men or that it doesn't matter, its that women prefer the traits in men that GARNER them the high partner count in the first place.

I realise I'm probably falling right into your trap here, but if you're asking what the ideal is for a woman I would say zero. Yes, I know it's selfish of me and unrealistic but we're talking about the ideal and it would be a massive ego boost to know that you were her first and only.

I'm not an idealist though, I'm a realist. We all have a past, but I can honestly say I don't think I've ever asked a woman how many men she's been with. Quite frankly I don't need to know and I don't see that any good would come from finding out about it.

I remember reading a quote on TRP from Malcolm X (I think) warning men not to ask how many men their woman had been with because she'll either lie to you or she'll tell you the truth and you'll wish you never asked.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter.

Any is fine as long as it's under five and they're clean. I feel pretty slutty after realizing that, at 19, I have a count of 3. Two have been the result of long term relationships but still. The majority of girls I know have been with two guys at most.

For men it is generally considered acceptable for them to have more sexual partners than a woman. I don't necessarily agree that's right, but it's how society is. I would say an ideal number for men is 5-10. Anything above 10 is the same as a woman who is a slut really, because it will be questionable whether or not he will commit to a relationship.

For women I would say 1-5. Same basic logic as men here.

Perhaps someone can fill in why it's generally considered more acceptable for men to have more sexual partners, I'm sure others have thought about this in more detail than me.

For reference in my own personal views, my girlfriend has had 6 sexual partners before me, and I have had 4 before her. But half of my girlfriend's 6 were other girls, so in typical male fashion, that doesn't bother me too much...

As for your edit, yes I slept with a virgin. When I lost my virginity, the girl I lost it to was also a virgin. It was awkward as fuck but she was also extremely fucking sexy. Like seriously way out of my league. Skinny little blonde girl with a perfect body, nice tits, and no gag reflex. The tradeoff was that she was also batshit insane but you can't win 'em all.
