Remember that when you try to flip the genders on these things, you also have to flip sex with commitment.

I'm sure you'll have little trouble imagining the conflict of interest that might exist with a man giving advice of how to obtain commitment from him. "No problem baby! Just have sex with me! It's that easy!!"

A disinterested observer would note what many women have also figured out: if you have sex with a guy too early, he's less likely to continue the relationship.

So there's one answer to your question. Although I agree with what some other commenters have said, that women don't really need to ask for advice, the fact is that if they did ask for advice, they would probably get bad advice too.

Ignoring the fact that the subject of the inquiry greatly matters:

1.) Women can give men dating advice everywhere else, especially IRL--just not on TRP. Who better to ask than a girl's best friend for what she likes/hates? Doesn't matter whether you're male or female; if you're not in with the friends, it's not going to last. Asking for others' opinions is an easy way to be endearing and make friends easily.

2) You should ask for dating advice from intelligent, rational people or those who have been in happy, successful relationships regardless of whether they're male or female. If you're not looking for a relationship, then it could benefit you from asking a girl that fits the type that you'd be interested in having a fling with.

3) If you're really hung up on the gender thing and believe that the difference of one's genitals and rational thought are irreconcilable, then you should ask the same question to a male and a female for different perspectives.

kind of; i can give women advice about what men choose and it works to an extent, and I can tell them if they're chasing someone who just wants to keep it casual, or point out that they keep dating the same guy and it keeps failing the same way.

I'm the active one in most pursuits, so i have more insight, but it's hardly definitive. I just think my advice comes off as less useless than what I hear from most women.

Men need to go through hell to attract a woman (unless they're in the top tier of status/attractiveness).

Women expect/are expected to be acted upon and generally don't have as much problem attracting a man.

The only advice men can really give to women is that too many women waste their youth chasing bad boys and moan about not being able to find marriage material when they've hit the wall, but that's not exactly a secret nowadays. This is really something their mothers should be teaching them.

Men are more honest/blunt with their advice than women are. You can see the differences if you look at the askmen and Askwomen subs. Imagine each subreddit's reaction to something like:

"I'm having a hard time getting someone of (your gender) for casual sex. How can I do better?"

The male advice would be along the lines of "please confirm that you are fat/ugly/rank. Now fix that". The female advice? Lol.

I don't think women need dating advice per se because they aren't the ones approaching men. But if anything probably, the only thing women need to do during dates is to shut off their phone, be attentive and engaging, show their personality, and try to be mannered.

Just as no woman can place herself in a man's point of view to see what he finds attractive, no man can place himself in a woman's point of view to see what she finds attractive.

My general advice would be to maximize your appearance/lifestyle so that you accomplish your goals.
Want to date a rich dude? Work on your appearance and go to events where you could find rich men interested in you.
Want to marry young? Find a quality man, commit to him, get married, success.

As for detailed advice, how-to's, and clear examples, I cannot advise women on at all. I've never tried pursuing men (nor will I ever) and can't provide good advice.

Not really, I tried yesterday on a thread in askmen, but I pretty much got stuck at identifying what the problem might be. shrug

We are however more honest about what advice we give and when to not give advice. (or at least I am)

I have two theories on this. The first is that for a couple of reasons, men are more likely to tell you what sounds 'nice' than men. For a woman to say "I want a bad boy that treats me like crap, rails me and makes me feel dominated" is at odds with the perception that women are under pressure to give off of being chaste, non shallow and virtuous. They say "I like a nice guy" and skip over looks etc because that is the image women feel they must project.

For a guy, we are already seen as dirty so saying I like big boobs, a big ass is not really a shock. We have less to lose by being honest.

Theory 2 is that when you ask a woman a question, the logical part of her brain is engaged and she starts reasoning about what she should want. But when it comes to actual attraction she is thinking with her emotions. I think the emotional part of the mind is often at odds with the logical part for people sometimes. You can see a guy do this when he is in a relationship that he should leave but stays.

No need, feminism/fat acceptance etc. now teaches young women that they need not put any effort in and that any man should be grateful to have her, most of the chicks I know now take pride in being unable to cook, clean or look after themselves to a basic standard.
