With all that said, how can the blue pill possibly argue that I'm worse off by blowing off the media narrative of obsessing over sexual validation, treating women like they're always acting in good faith, and that attraction isn't based purely on physical features and social status, rather than 'things in common' and all that? What does TBP have to add to my life? Is it anything more than the sexual dynamics corollary to young earth creationism?

What does the blue pill have to offer to the average, sexless college age male?

"The blue pill" is actually pretty much anything that's not the red pill. It's nothing in particular. There's no universal blue pill dating advice.

TRP comes in and delivers straight talk that no one else does.

No. It doesn't. It delivers some grains of truth wrapped in pseudoscience and misogyny. I seriously doubt you can find anywhere on reddit that actually says "just be nice". Have you never seen "rule 1: be attractive, rule 2: don't be unattractive"? That's like the motto of reddit ffs. It's not particularly useful or accurate, but it sure as hell isn't pussyfooting around. There are plenty of places that can offer genuinely useful dating advice, on reddit and elsewhere on the internet, that don't include crap like "you're not high status enough" OR the even worse things like "you will never have anything in common with a woman". It's just how to be confident, look good (not even naturally attractive necessarily, just well groomed), and make your intentions clear.

TRP also provides a reasonable expectation for how these dynamics will change in the coming years and that my female peers won't have infinitely more power than me for much longer, and how to respond to this. I'm better off focusing on myself during these late teens/early twenties years than worrying about how often I stick my penis in a vagina. Also, I should be extremely wary of the institution of marriage and the solid probability that women will suddenly have more interest in pairing off with me if I do well career-wise. Pre-red pill, I'd be a prime beta bucks candidate: smart, engineering degree, handsome enough to be respectable but not handsome enough to have been in the 'in' crowd when I was younger.

See this? This is what's bad about trp. You are already planning to never have a meaningful relationship in your life because you think the only important thing is power, and actual meaningful connections just don't exist, and/or don't matter. Clearly women are just after your money because all women are malicious harpies. You know what your "female peers" are doing? Living their life. Not obsessing over how they have power over you now that they should exploit while they're young.

Would it be so hard to say that people aren't 100% trustworthy, and not act like women are a separate species and THAT'S why they're capable of cheating or some shit? Would it be so hard to admit that attraction is purely physical if all you're offering is your body (i.e. one night stands, fuck buddies, etc) but a relationship is built on more?

You know what "the blue pill" (A.K.A any other view than trp) has to offer? Self improvement. GENUINE self improvement. Becoming a good person, a confident person, the kind of person that is actually respectable. TRP encourages you to become the lowest common denominator to get back at the LCD women. You lie, you manipulate, you look down on women, you emotionally abuse them (if you're trping right), you have no concept of loyalty, love, trust, or empathy.

If you want sex, you can follow many many non-trp methods to get sex. If you want a relationship, do you really need to exclusively date women that are just an accessory to you? Because that's what trp advocates. Is your self esteem that low? Because a real respectable and healthy man does not need to step on their partner to feel tall.

You know how they talk about solipsism? That's what being a trp guy is all about. Women just aren't as real as you. You should never have to compromise with them, their views are always stupid, they're wrong about everything. They're not an actual human being that you should have consideration for.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I can tell you put a lot of effort into this but I think this is exactly his point. You never actually said anything of useful value to him.

[–]purplepill2Blue Pill Woman6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What do you think would be of value then? Because I outlined the basic tenets of a lot of successful dating/seduction advice places. I am not an expert on them because quite frankly, the point is that "the blue pill" does not say "just be a nice guy" and there are several places and groups that will address a sexless college male's desires.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're not an expert but TRP is definitely wrong/not helping?

That's not rhetorical. I think your above statement is a bit contradictory.

[–]purplepill2Blue Pill Woman7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I explained what's wrong with TRP. The basic core that is actually helpful is not specific to TRP, and a lot of it is toxic and/or flat out wrong. How much do I need to simplify this for you?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

"Be confident" is worthless advice.

[–]purplepill2Blue Pill Woman3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The fuck it is. Confidence is the most basic thing you need. Red pill guys just get that confidence through an unwarranted feeling of superiority.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

No man you have what I am saying backwards. "Confidence" implies a lot. It's like telling someone who's depressed not to be depressed. It fixes nothing an is entirely worthless. Do yourself a favor and think critically

[–]purplepill2Blue Pill Woman1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

... That's why you go to these dating advice places. To help with it.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

meh! do what works for you is pretty much all it boils down to.

is being bluepill and treating women like humans working for you? then great.

if redpill and " truth wrapped in pseudoscience and misogyny" works for you? fine as well.

your long post,TBP and this sub are all irrelevant at the end of the day.

we are all giving an unnecessary amount of fucks about each others buisness.

When I get home I'll answer this as best I can. Look for my edit.

Edit:

Is it anything more than the sexual dynamics corollary to young earth creationism?

People in TBP think the same of you, just so you know.

Here's the deal: some of TRP is genuinely good advice. Look good, work out, be more confident, don't be too upset when you strike out (abundance mentality), that kind of thing. But none of that advice is unique to TRP. It can be found elsewhere.

Also, asking TBP what they would do or what they have to offer is a mixed bag. TBP encompasses everyone that's not TRP. So, basically you're going to get a set of answers ranging from the hated "be yourself" to a PUA-type answer "go work out and find ways to act confident" to a more monogamous "find a girl that shares your interests and get to know her".

As an aside, here's my issue with your post:

The most revolting part of anti-red pill posters is the shrill ignorance spouted by, in particular, women who have absolutely no idea what it is like to have the sex drive of a 19 year old male go unfulfilled. It truly hurts to see gorgeous, cute, sexy, and beautiful girls running around, wanting only one, and then seeing them slut around and all fucking the same few guys on weekends, while you get turned away from parties.

You say you want these girls, but then put them down ("seeing them slut around") for the very thing you would do with them given the chance. Why do you want to fuck girls you have no respect for and even seem to dislike? That question seems the most pertinent to me. Because, from this post, it seems that the girls themselves aren't the issue, and that the only reason you want sex with these "gorgeous, cute, sexy, and beautiful girls" is to get your nuts off in some notch on a bedpost, and you're upset that you can't do it.

[–]autoNFAPurple Pill4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

But none of that advice is unique to TRP. It can be found elsewhere.

You'd be surprised. It's very rare compared to the phony advice being proffered.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There are other places to look. A lot of people give the "phony advice" because they just don't know. If you're in a friend group of guys that hasn't had any luck in dating and self-improvement, those friends aren't going to be able to help much. Honestly if I wanted good advice on picking up women I'd go to a guy that does it and ask him what makes him so successful. So being proactive needs to happen in the self-improvement process, but there's other places to look.

Cracked has a great article on self improvement. Also, Seddit and /r/AskMen exist and from what I understand they're not too bad either.

[–]autoNFAPurple Pill1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I lumped seddit in with TRP in terms of dating advice (as opposed to theory).

It's not that the two are the only sources of good advice, but they have the best signal to noise ratio.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's that sub's entire purpose, so it's going to be far more compressed and focused.

[–]shakedown_st0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

shameless plug for /r/faimprovement -- been around for 2 years and I just discovered these pill subs a couple months ago

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

But none of that advice is unique to TRP. It can be found elsewhere.

Absolutely. /r/seduction is one such place.

Got any more?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

AskMen, Dating_Advice, that kind of thing. Or you could just ask some dude that's doing well with women.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Have you personally used any of those things? I ask because it seems clear that you haven't gotten advice from AskMen.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Personally? No. When I wanted to start dating I lucked out and found a girl I liked and started dating her, so I didn't need AskMen.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

So one thing that's common to /r/TheRedPill and /r/seduction is a significant number of people stating that things from those communities have helped them.

Even though you've never used any of the things you reference as useful resources, do any of them have the same kind of endorsement from other people?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

TRP itself adheres to the "ask a fisherman" policy, so asking a man that does well with women seems to fit in line with it. I've seen threads with Redpillers praising AskMen as well. Dating_advice is a sub I've seen before but it's rarely mentioned on reddit for whatever reason, so I don't know it's efficacy, but it's there.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I note that you use TRP as a reference for two of those three things.

If they are suitable as a reference for a source, why aren't they suitable as a source themselves?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

If they are suitable as a reference for a source, why aren't they suitable as a source themselves?

I figured you were RP and were criticizing the options I gave, so I thought it stop the criticism to point out that your own sub likes both of those ideas.

But that's not why they're good sources. The first is just common sense: if you're not succeeding, find someone who is and ask them. The second is a sub dedicated to mens issues, and dating falls under that umbrella. Neither of those places have the "baggage" that most people complain about when it comes to TRP.

If you want an "endorsement", I can't give that. The first is a case-by-case basis, and the second is a sub that's not dedicated just to men's dating.

I hate to self promote so much, and it is experiencing a bit of a lull, but I made /r/LetsGetLaid for just that purpose.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

You say you want these girls, but then put them down ("seeing them slut around") for the very thing you would do with them given the chance.

I have a dick. Try to ponder for a moment my hypocrisy that I don't want a partner with a dick.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I'm not sure I see the equivalency you're trying to make. The point isn't that he doesn't want someone like him; it's that he does want someone like him (someone that would sleep around given the chance), but because he can't accomplish what they can he calls them sluts.

If that's not what you meant then you should probably be more descriptive than one line of text that's just making an analogy.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lots of guys call their ons and plate women sluts and hoes, I don't think it's a case of the fox and the grapes.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, but then they get what they asked for. In the most succesful case they get a free prostitute. So they get to save money. Not much else.

But what actually makes relationships meaningful? Love, romance, attachment, travelling together, romantic nights in a restaurant, feeling one, opening up to each other? Validation you feel from being accepted by another person? What do they know about this?

When I was young and hard to find a girlfriend, I always preferred girlfriend without sex than sex without girlfriend. Because the RP alphas can brag about alpha phux but for me sex was just a fairly interesting 15 minute break in my loneliness with some sensory rubbing. But having a girlfriend, even without sex, meant countless opportnities to not be lonely, to be able to finally do things. Hikes! Travels! Romantic restaurant nights! Long walks on beaches! It was worth much more than 15 mins of genital rubbing.

Maybe they were fucked by a RP alpha on the side. Who cares? Their emotional support, love and closeness, acceptance and validation of my existence mattered much more than the ol' in-and-out.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Sleeping around as a woman isn't an accomplishment.

Really, have you ever read TRP? We say the gender are different all the damn time.

We think of sluts like women think of men who give committment freely and readily. A lot of us don't respect them even if we fuck them.

As for why we do it? Libido.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Sure, it's easier, but why care so much what other women do? Why hold women you don't know in such contempt? It's not like TRP values sex as something special; they want to fuck as much as they can. All you're saying is that they're enjoying themselves and have an easier time of it than men.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sure, it's easier, but why care so much what other women do?

It's not so much care what a random woman does as we use it as a measuring stick for if she's good for an LTR or just a fuck.

The rest of your argument seems to go into doublestandard type territory for which the response is and always has been "we don't care."

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was referring to the OP with that statement. You're free to use whatever measuring stick you want for women, even if it's a double standard. I don't care about that. What I was referring to was:

It truly hurts to see gorgeous, cute, sexy, and beautiful girls running around, wanting only one, and then seeing them slut around and all fucking the same few guys on weekends, while you get turned away from parties.

Why does he care so much? Why should it "hurt"? Does he want to fuck them or date them? Is it just the rejection that hurts, or is there something else?

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

That doesn't explain the guys who fuck around freely with no issues.

Lol do you really think if it weren't so hard for you to get laid you would suddenly temper.

If you're going to use slut and define it then use it for everyone who fits the description. Not just women.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

slut and define it then use it for everyone who fits the description. Not just women.

We don't care about the double standard accusation. Sex and gender is full of double standards because nature didn't design humans (or any creature) along lines of fairness.

I already explained that the male equivalent of a slut is one who gives his committment away readily and easily.

The reason male sluts don't exist according to your definition is that the average guy can't go into a bar, say "Who wants some of this?" and walk out with someone halfway decent on the SMV scale most of the time. Just doesn't happen.

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Cool. I guess I don't care either. A spade is a spade is a spade. Chad Ocho Cinco is a slut too I guess because sex for him is easy and he indulges in it.

The clingy girl who does everything for a guy who clearly doesn't find her attractive in the hopes of him liking her... is just as much of a chump as the "nice guy" who does the same.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Cool. I guess I don't care either. A spade is a spade is a spade. Chad Ocho Cinco is a slut too I guess because sex for him is easy and he indulges in it.

No, you see he invested in his smv in the gym and on the field in countless hours of practice. It was a big risk, 10s of thousands of guys lose out every year doing the same.

It's the old saying that women are valued for what they are and men for what they do. Cinco wasn't born a pro athlete, he worked for it.

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think you're making up your own definition of slut.

It's a person with many casual sexual partners.

So let's say Susan Boyle lost a bunch of weight and a trained and started dressing like and acting like (confidence wise) Kate Moss. She is now investing in her "SMV" because she wasn't born with a naturally high one.

If she then "earns" her desirability and indulges in it is she also not a slut?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I go to a dictionary and it says woman, not person. While we're making up defintions and all...

Susan Boyle can't diet away ugly. I really think you don't understand the difference in work in not seeking and shoveling food in one's mouth and that to become a pro-athlete...

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

The blue pill isn't dating advice. The blue pill is a sub that satirizes trp. You can get still get laid pretty easily without following trp advice.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

That's kind of a cop out. At least explain why you think it needs to be satirized.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't need to be satirized. Using satire is just one way to point out how ridiculous some of the claims they make are.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Why are some claims ridiculous? How do you discern which claims are ridiculous and which are not? Why is satirize it rather than provide an alternative or ignoring it?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

You already said yourself that you're not going to change your views based on anything that's said here, so explaining why some of the claims are ridiculous would be a waste of time for the both of us. If you don't understand why satire is used then check out the wikipedia page on satire.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I'm asking for your point of view not for you to convince me of anything.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

The claims are ridiculous because they are based solely on personal experiences and anecdotal evidence.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The claims are ridiculous because they are based solely on personal experiences and anecdotal evidence

What do you base this statement of yours on:

You can get still get laid pretty easily without following trp advice.

Is that claim based solely on personal experiences and anecdotal evidence?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I make that statement based on fact. I'll gladly retract it when there is statistical evidence that can back them up.

Is that claim based solely on personal experiences and anecdotal evidence?

Trp is a small portion of the human population. There are about 360k births per day. Unless all of those births are a result of mass spermjackings, I feel confident in saying that people are still able to have sex without trp.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I feel confident in saying that people are still able to have sex without trp.

That's a significant retreat from the claim you made earlier:

You can get still get laid pretty easily without following trp advice.

Global birth statistics have little to do with the people reading this.

Satire:

Satire is a genre of literature, and sometimes graphic and performing arts, in which vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, corporations, government or society itself, into improvement. Although satire is usually meant to be humorous, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon and as a tool to draw attention to both particular and wider issues in society.

A feature of satire is strong irony or sarcasm—"in satire, irony is militant" —but parody, burlesque, exaggeration, juxtaposition, comparison, analogy, and double entendre are all frequently used in satirical speech and writing. This "militant" irony or sarcasm often professes to approve of (or at least accept as natural) the very things the satirist wishes to attack.

Satire is nowadays found in many artistic forms of expression, including literature, plays, commentary, television shows, and media such as lyrics.

A huge part is the general autism (that sadly characterizes many subreddits) that instead of having some drinks with many women and just talking and getting to know them as a person and having a personal experience about how they think, you need to form abstract theories about women as if they were some alien species you cannot empathically understand, just intellectually analyze.

This, to me is hugely autistic.

Like how in /r/economics people discuss "the rich" and "the poor" not through the normal experience based empathy one normal person feels to another, just like as if they were alien species to form abstract theories about.

I mean substituting analytical intelligence for an empathic "getting it" is the surest sign of being on the autistic spectrum.

You're telling me TBP is a sub about mocking the menatally disabled? Or at least you believe it to be?

All jokes aside I think you're kind of illustrating his point. If you're a western male that isn't "successful" women, you're somehow defective. If were just more of "X" you could have what you want.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I am not typical TBP, I am far from SRS mentality, I always thought "ableism" is WTF. I am actually a bit autistic, and worked hard to overcome it - so I am allowed to think it sucks.

All jokes aside I think you're kind of illustrating his point. If you're a western male that isn't "successful" women, you're somehow defective. If were just more of "X" you could have what you wan

Wait, isn't it entirely normal? I am not really western but... of course succesful people are respected and it is a huge part of success! Of course the guy who has the top model girlfriend is respected the same way as the guy who gets succesful in business, no? Of course people who utterly fail at it will be seen as, well, not defective but a bit like losers?

I mean literally every high school boy I ever known was more interested in success with girls than good grades or sports performance... of course it is a huge issue topic always.

But the point is, the way to overcome is not to analyze women to pieces - in a degrading and dehumanizing way at that - as if an alien species. It all sounds like nerding before the computer in what 4chan calls "moms basement"... instead of getting to know women personally and forming a human, empathic understanding.

You are being so disingenuous right now. All TRP is is the study of what actually makes men attractive to women. I guarantee that every time you've ever gotten laid it has been a result of you putting TRP philosophy into action whether or not you were even aware of it. TRP isn't a woman-hating club (although, there are certainly a lot of bitter men there. But can you really blame them?) it's just a place to discuss the harsh realities of the female-male sexual dynamic.

Yeah of course that's not all there is to TRP. There's also hundreds of pages of nonsense about how women are psychologically children, genetically deceitful, have no value other than their looks and how they want men to treat them poorly because evolution. As in, not just "study of what actually makes men attractive to women" but a compendium of recycled 19th century sexism

Don't get upset just because men are waking up to Western women's (specifically white women's) big scam artist plan. Fuck a bunch of jerks and bad boys in your 20's then find a nice beta to support you in your 30's. Almost every girl who could be considered even moderately attractive that I know is following this model. Men aren't buying it anymore and they are waking up. Get over it.

No you are not looking for a discussion.

That chart was made by atheists who were frustrated by the "discussions" they were having with young earth creationists. When you are failing at the very first step of that flowchart you may want to ask yourself which pill really is "the sexual dynamics corollary to young earth creationism"?

So I'm just going to repeat what I wrote the last time someone asked this question:

Yeah dude, being confident and healthy, on average, is going to make you sexier, and being respectful isn't what gets you dates, it just makes you a decent human. This is not rocket science nor is this idea the monopoly of the red pill. Where the red pill diverges from basic 101-level common sense is that it claims that women are inherently and by their very natures controlled by their emotions and hormones, find it difficult to use logic, and are so stupid/deceitful that they won't admit it.

Red Pill, without the sexism, is decent advice; what makes Red Pill not decent advice is the sexism.

So. Having trouble getting laid? Don't put women on a pedestal; treat them like equals. Look after your appearance; be healthy. Stand out from the crowd; be interesting. Don't be obsequious; nobody really wants that. Don't expect people to fuck you just because you're nice; when was the last time you fucked someone just because they were nice? Be direct and honest about what you want; that's mature and saves you a lot of time and trouble. Chivalry is bullshit; women are capable of opening doors and buying their own drinks. Being confident signals that you're probably a good lay; falling over backwards for somebody because she's hot doesn't. Avoid people who want to manipulate you and get you to do shit for them and hold sex over your head as a weapon. Hook up with people who are confident and mature and know what they want.

That's my 'strategy' and it works just fine.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think part of your issue is created by your own hypergamy.

You say yourself you aren't rich or good looking, but you want the high status, hot and cute girls in the in crowd who sleep with the high status men.

If you aim for equal or lower status to yourself you will be successful.

[–]rumbledust[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Op here. For like the fourth time, I AM willing to go below my level for girls. I'm more attractive than the majority of guys (though I'm not muscular, I have a good face and am lean without being too skinny and fairly tall), and I would be perfectly happy to snag a typical looking girl in my age group. My problem is not unreasonable standards.

[–]GridReXXit be like that6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

You do realize the plain jane girls aren't fucking those hot guys...

They're probably wondering the same. Why are all the hot guys not fucking me? Simple. They're not presenting themselves in an attractive light.

Also why do you deserve a gorgeous sexy beautiful girl? Would women describe you as gorgeous or sexy or hot? Be the change you want to see.

That's my advice. Always ask yourself would you date you. I ask myself that. It's good motivation.

[–]rumbledust[S] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

  1. You're overestimating my strictness in calling a girl beautiful. I'd say that I would consider 35-40% of my female peers physically irresistible and 45-55% gf-able.

  2. Exactly, I don't 'deserve' anything. TRP provides a logically consistent mental framework for what gets you those girls and how that will change over time. Note how I pointed out that TRP helped me get over worrying about whether or not I'm getting laid.

Bonus: Actually, Plain Jane is fucking Chad Thundercock. Maybe not when she's 35, but at 20? Yes she is. Add to this the fact that women would consider maybe? 10 percent of men physically irresistible (let's face it, it's probably more like 3-5%) compared to my figure of 50-60%. Out of this, a sexual economy emerges and it works as TRP describes.

If a not-fat, not-overwhelmingly ugly college age girl wants to fuck a hot guy, she can. It's complete garbage to suggest otherwise. Getting Chad to commit to her is a whole other story, and probably resembles the struggle normal guys face to get laid at all. But pure sex? Yeahhhhh, no.

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And who is chad?

[–]OfSpock0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Stats please. Because I've posted CDC statistics that disagree with your stance and had someone tell me by PM that they didn't believe them. Instead, I'm asking for some actual reliable statistics that show this 80/20 claim.

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And you overestimate how many women are ignored.

I'm curious. Have you tried getting laid by any of the women you don't consider irresistible?

Not that you should have to force attraction. But I imagine it would be easier. If you dress well, have a well groomed stubble, have a decent physique, and actually care about your hair, you get he panties. Even below average looking guys can look like models if they do the above. And also choose a good high end fragrance.

[–]gepeg-libreBlack&Pink Pill-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Are you friends with any women? Like honest-to-goodness, actually enjoy spending time with them because you like them not because you think you might be able to fuck them at some point? Just a question, it's for science.

[–]rumbledust[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have a couple acquaintance females to whom I'm not attracted, but I wouldn't call them friends. But I don't bother engaging in friendships with girls I'm attracted to (this really isn't a common scenario, I'm not very social), I either escalate with a girl or I cut her out of my life. I just don't have enough female abundance to maintain a platonic friendship with a girl I want to fuck.

[–]gepeg-libreBlack&Pink Pill0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I ask because I have this theory, based on my own experiences, that dudes who aren't friends with any girls are the dudes who don't understand women, have a hard time relating to women, look at women like they're another species, and have a hard time getting dates. Also, they are the dudes that fall for simplistic shenanigans like the Red Pill.

Being friends with lots of chicks means :

1) You end up knowing lots of chicks

2) You hear them talking about how they feel about boys

3) You realize that lots of cute girls are awkward weirdos who can't get dates for the life of them

4) You realize that lots of girls are super insecure about approaching men

5) You're more able to put yourself in their shoes

6) You hear about how a solid majority of men they sleep with are flat-out no good at making women cum -- which goes a long way to explaining why a lot of women are less interested in casual sex

7) You become more comfortable being around women without obsessing about sex. People want what they can't have, and falling over backwards for a girl just because she's hot is a turnoff; but being able to look a girl you meet in the eye and just talk to her like a regular person is a turn-on

8) You understand that women want to fuck dudes because they think they're hot, and dudes they think are hot regularly fall outside the parameters of Red Pill 'alpha'-ness

9) Guys who other girls are clearly comfortable interacting with are kind of 'vouched for' -- the possibility of your being a total creepy fuck is diminished in the eyes of other women if they see that lots of chicks are happy to spend time with you

10) You run a good chance of getting hooked up with one of your friends' friends.

Where does he claim this is something he deserves or is owed? You're injecting that where it didn't previously exist.

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm simply pointing out the point in his OP where he implies it pains him to see the gorgeous women not with him and that all he wants is one of those gorgeous chicks. But nowhere did he comment on his own level of attraction.

Hence my advice was to be the changes you want to see. Since when is that bad advice? Pretty intuitive. You want the hot girls. Be the hot guy. Dress like a carefree Ryan gosling or dress like a Ralph Lauren ad. Get toned and work on your shoulders. Give a fuck about your facial hair and hair grooming.

Be respectful and command respect with your presence.

[–]myfriendscantknowAgent Orangered (BP Man)5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Is your argument that TRP is the only place an average, sexless college age male can get advice? Because the blue pill represents everything that isn't red pill, and red pill may as well not exist it's so small and unimportant. Not to mention it isn't even 2 years old.

The most revolting part of anti-red pill posters is the shrill ignorance spouted by, in particular, women who have absolutely no idea what it is like to have the sex drive of a 19 year old male go unfulfilled.

Anti-TRP people aren't against people trying to improve their sex life, and it's disingenuous to pretend that's the problem people have with TRP. These are the reasons people dislike TRP, not because we want to see men remain sexually unfulfilled.

TRP comes in and delivers straight talk that no one else does. No, the problem isn't that you aren't being nice enough. No, the problem isn't that you're not being patient enough, no, the problem isn't that you don't have enough money to take girls on fancy dates. The problem is that you aren't good-looking enough and that you aren't high status enough, and those two things are interlinked.

That TRP believes this is what we think is very strange. They are not the only venue offering to smack the neckbeard out of you, life usually does that just fine. Most of us just grow up. Thinking that coming to this obvious realization makes you special, that you've swallowed the red pill from The Matrix and everybody else is still "plugged in", makes you seem very childish.

I painfully relate to the TRP painting of your Average Frustrated Chump. I was every bit the neckbeard Nice Guy in my youth. What I managed to avoid is falling into a women hating cult as a result, instead opting for developing myself as a person.

I don't really know why you keep thinking the Red Pill is a cult. It's not like we're getting together in the woods and setting up compounds.

It's a bunch of dudes venting their frustration to likeminded people.

Most eventually move on from it, like you've demonstrated you yourself have.

TRP is one of the few places where a dude can actually vent his frustration about the opposite sex in a non-PC way.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can have the useful, "purple pill" ideas without red pill misoginy.

Basically that you are going to be more succesful with women if you are not needy, cringey, putting them on a pedestal and worshipping them, no try to buy their favor, for example if you are asked to hold a purse you joke it away (just put on a comedic drag show or something with it) and not stand there embarrassed of your perceived violation of masculinity yet fearing to refuse. (Double fitness test fail.) You are better with women if you are not so submissive.

However you don't need to be dominant - that is a red pill bullshit. You need to take it equally. Really equally. Like, just like women, you are allowed to end a relationship if she does not behave well. Like, just like women, you can have standards, and initiating a relationship ("pick-up") is NOT just about you proving yourself to her, but also behaving so that you expect her to prove herself to you. Playful bantering, push and pull, teasing, keeping a distance, letting her pursue you a bit, showing your independence - this is actual equality, not dominance. So this would be "purple pill" and it would work.

Purple pill is Independent Not Needy Man not Dominant Man.

So these are good ideas. But red pill is about saying all women are sluts without agency, cheating robots. How does that help your college age male?

So it seems you cannot separate useful "purple pill" ideas about being an independent man which is indeed sexy for many women, and saying hateful things about women which is red pill.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I am a man. I never really cared that much about sex. I just wanked it out when I had no partner.

I cared about finding actual LOVE. Companionship! Not being lonely! A girl to travel with, go to restaurants with, enjoy life with, not shut in my room being lonely! I cared about that, not sex.

GF without sex was much better than sex without GF. With GF I could live life, do things, not be lonely. Sex without GF would just mean there is something else to do than play videogames for 15 mins. Totally did not worth it.

So if you are so hung up about sex... that may be a problem.

No, you should not worry about sticking penis in vagina so much. Ewww... what are you, it almost sounds like an animal talking not a human? Sorry not trying to be insulting but it is very, very uncultured. You never felt the need to love and be loved, just penis in vagina?

Yeah, you could learn to have other interest in women than just cum dumpster objects. This could be good for you.

[–]rumbledust[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I have no use for a female companion beyond her vagina. I'm a solitary person who enjoys having no obligations. Company is worthless to me, as I'd rather be alone generally.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why not just prostitutes then?

Frankly I don't believe you. Prostitutes are an obvious cheap solution and much easier. If I was like you - assuming I believed you - I would just move to Amsterdam where basically you can go "window shopping" for it.

No, you don't just want sex. You want the emotional, ego-based satisfaction of actually being wanted by women, as opposed to just paying for it. This means at some deep level you either care about what women think of you, or what other men do (i.e. seeing you as a guy who is succesful with women).

I think you are just suppressing it. You are trying to prove your worth, just not the same way as others. Maybe it is even in a way a revenge.

[–]rumbledust[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I can't afford prostitutes (I'm a college student). Also, prostitution is criminalized and risky (and unnecessarily expensive) because of that fact. But if I had the money I would.
