I debated posting this to /r/TheBluePill, even though I know the reception would have been terrible, but luckily that led me to stumbling upon this place. Thank god. So I get to at least present my issue to a semi-neutral crowd.

Anyway, hi. I'm a semi-frequent RedPiller. To begin with, let me just state that I never really liked reddit.com/r/theredpill as much as I liked the idea of the Red Pill, and I always blamed what I didn't like on reddit itself. I know that I speak for every SRSter, MRA, BluePiller, RedPiller, casual user, and redditor over the age of 23 when I say this site skews heavily to the college aged and that affects content. I won't claim that I don't and didn't think or say things that The Blue Pill might find offensive, but I will say that I remained silent or even brushed over some of the worst stuff I saw.

That said, there are some core beliefs I've picked up from the Red Pill the last year I've been really following it, and it's getting hard to reconcile them with my current relationship, and it's frustrating. i don't know what to do.

Perfect example presented itself right here: I just said "relationship". I agreed to be her boyfriend, so yes, I am in a relationship, and several of my friends are estatic for me. Half of my heart is estatic as well. But the word freaks me out. I asked TRP what to do, they were not very supportive (she's older, has had some sex, wants to get married, etc - I know these things, I don't mind them because she's amazing) and I just keep hearing what they said in my head, over and over. I simaltaneously feel too good for her and not good enough to kiss her shoes. I simultaneously hate her for wanting to trick me into wanting to be just hers and love her for how into "us" she is. I think I've been really good about keeping my feelings at bay because she's referred to me as "distant" a few times, but never has said I act angry or sad or anything negative. I do shut down when I'm with her and I start obsessing over her ex or something.

I can't help but think, after what I just wrote, "GOD WHAT A BETA". It's ingrained at this point. I don't want it to be. Honestly, I don't know if it's because I've met someone who is worth it and I need to get over my pre-conceived notions of what that will entail, or I've met someone who I find amazing and I need a slap in the face to remind me that amazing does not mean special.

So AMA if you need, otherwise advise away. I've tried to keep this about me instead of her, as I think these are my own demons, but you can ask me about her, doesn't mean I'll answer.

Posting this without a read through or spellcheck - I like to live dangerously, and I'm a little high.
