I checked your post history and you look like you overcomplicate things. Thus, why you like PUA tactics/strategies.

Friendly advice, all this dating shit is super simple. It’s either they like you or not and if you have a connection.

All the basics like having great hygiene, good social skills, financial stability, and good mental health should be all checked before you even think of dating.

There’s no secret that the PUA or Red Pill community have. They love overcomplicating it so impressionable people think they do.

I could show my tits on reddit and get a few dozen idiots to have meaningless sex with, but that is neither a boast nor a measure of my intelligence or value, nor does it make me an expert on how to "get men". All it would do is reflect poorly on my priorities and those of the men that would go for that sort of thing.

Finding casual sex is not hard. It is not a code to be cracked. It's fine if that's your thing, but it's super cringey to practically form a fucking religion about it.

Also. Ok. Some PUA stuff works. Doesn't make it a healthy way to interact with other people. I've never disliked PUA because it doesn't 'work' at achieving something around dating. I dislike it because it's a bit gross and I disapprove of the methods regardless of their efficacy.

I once met a PUA guy on tinder, nice enough date, home made beer.

He was driving me home and I wanted to stop to buy a glass of water. He instead A LOT to have the glass at home, so after a while I said "ok, but I'm just getting a glass of water and then going home". We arrived home, and he put on music, then tried to dance with me, when he started to touch me (bear in mind we didn't even kiss or anything) I got a way, and asked for the glass of water again, we sat on the couch, I was drinking the glass and he again started to touch me, and I pulled away and I said I didn't want that. Then he put his arm around my shoulders, so I got up, got real serious and said "I'm gonna go home alone right now". He got pissy, and the ride home was super akward.

All because he was taught that "no means maybe" "use any excuse to get what you want" "if you get her home, you just have to play your cards right" "if she pulls away, just try later again".

That is why I hate PUA if I had been a more vulnerable teen at that point I might have felt like his insistence was scary and threatening enough, (cause if you say "no" and that person doesn't respect that, it's scary) that something more serious than a few unwanted touches might have happened.

Look, I was pretty active, on & off, in the PUA community for about a decade. I made a post about this a month or so ago and there's another longer one I'd like to write down, because I believe keeping young men away from PUA theories can only benefit their psychological wellbeing in the long run.

Here's the thing: it's not about "does it work or not?" The PUA framework does give results for a specific goal. But this line of thinking, one that focuses solely on the input/output relation, fails to grasp its ethical and psychological implications. It works, but is the system itself desirable? The use of language such as "it works", "success rate" and "score" speaks volume of PUAs' perspective on dating, relationships, sex and women: dating is something that you win at, like a game (quite literally how it's named) you play against other opponents (other men & women); sex stops being a moment of intimacy and connection to become a measure of quantifiable success; women themselves are not individuals to connect with, they're not even the goal of the game, they are the means to victory, which is in itself the gain of social capital in an economy where men's value is based of the amount of sexual partners they get. The manosphere's rhetoric paint its members like some freed, enlightened individuals, yet they are the ones still trapped (and excessively so) in the dominant doxa that we were raised in.

I know you'll probably be too stubborn to consider changing your mind, but if you wanna be honest with yourself, I implore you to consider why, exactly, you wish to "optimize your success rate with women". Trust me on this, PUA theories can only fuck you up on the long term. There is no "good PUA" vs "bad PUA", because at its core PUA is based on a rotten system of value. Sooner of later, you'll grow out of it; everyone does. Sooner the better. I implore you, redirect that time spent on PUA on healthy hobbies instead; you'll be glad you did in 10 years. I sure wish I spent my late teens/early 20s learning to play music, developping healthy friendships, getting better at rock climbing, and so on and so on, instead of spending all that time chasing women like a lunatic.

Of course they work, manipulation works and it needs practice, there is no doubt about it. The thing is: are into manipulating yourself or other people to achieve something? Not my cup of tea.

I haven’t read too much PUA stuff, but most of the „techniques“ seem to work. Or to phrase it differently: I have already used some of them, before I have read anything about them.

Anyway: I still think they are more persuasion skills, you can use many of them also in the business world. Eg.: Push/Pull —> Create tension so they are not sure that they have you to get a better price.

Some of what PUAs say is real, but there is truth in everything. My problem with PUA is how they approach women ("cold approaching" is cringe) and how relentless they are in their pursuit of women.

You're getting a lot of pushback which is expected here. I personally don't think you said anything too controversial, obviously if you focus on getting better at something, you do.

I want to ask why you think PUA is better than Red Pill.

Red Pill strikes me as a way to boost your passives. Body, attittude, drive.

PUA seems more of an active skill. Personally it made talking to others more stressful for me, having to remember specific things instead of let my mind meld into the mood.
