Reminds me of a line in my Arabic textbook. For context: Arabic has masculine and feminine versions of "you" and gender-specific endings for verbs in the you-form / imperative.

The line was "Now [feminine imperative] stop crying and fetch the broom"

... raised a few eye-brows even amongst the pickmes in class.

My grandparents were Danish, but never taught the language to my father. I remember them speaking it to each other. I thought it was very cool & mysterious.
