This is my personal preference and if not sleeping with guys until you get that commitment has worked for you, awesome.

I personally don't want to call someone my boyfriend unless I know we are compatible in bed. I have had it happen to me where I have some great dates with someone and then by about the third one we finally sleep together, only to find out the experience is far from ideal and I didn't care to keep seeing them. Saying you don't Want to sleep with someone until they commit to you sound about as good an idea as waiting till marriage to have sex, which I also don't personally recommend, but cool if that's your thing.

So while I have stopped the habit of sleeping with men on the first, 2nd or maybe even 3rd date, and I don't even really talk to them about sexual things at the start (I hate when guys ask "what are you into? " the moment you meet them. Mostly got this on dating apps), I do sleep with them before we talk of any kind of label we put on our relationship. I just wait long enough until I know they will treat me with the respect I deserve. And even just not sleeping with guys on the first date has managed to weed out some of the scummy ones. It's interesting how many men just stop talking to you once you make it clear you're not going to be their next one night stand.

So not sure how anyone else feels about this tenant of being an rpw. It's how I live my life and has worked out well so far.
