I've found that anything will do to dismiss it if you switch focus to something else. She wants a serious conversation in a comfortable environment so this should be easy. to start off with.

It's cool coming up with an obvious humorous deflection but that won't always work. The talk is inevitable and will happen at some point either way in which your plate may break, spin faster/slower or be upgraded but at least with the plausible responses you can buy yourself some more time.
