From the TV show "The Wire"

Brother Mouzone: Lamar, where's my Harper's?

Lamar: Say what?

Brother Mouzone: Harper's. The new issue.

Lamar: You didn't say that one. You said the New Republic, and Atlantic, and a new something else.

Brother Mouzone: I did not forget to tell you Harper's. Every week I tell you the same shit, and every week you forget half of what I say. Tomorrow first thing, you go down to the newsstand, and you get Harper's. And the Nation, too, which you also managed to forget. You know what the most dangerous thing in America is, right? A nigger with a library card.

[–]StManTiS 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's how Malcolm X started...reading. Nothing moves people quite like ideas.

[–]silvertongue35 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is what TRP is, a library. You have all these authors who wrote their knowledge down. Be a voracious reader.

[–]Bookkeep32 points 11 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

I hate to be that guy but technically Girls are like Books, not the actual libraries.

[–]enjoyit7 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This had me twitching the whole time I was reading the post.

Love these analogies as of late.

[–]Fdreal3 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Yea but you don't just get better at reading when you read. You learn new ideas and philosophies, unlike spinning women. Also AWALT, no woman is more or less complex than the next, and it certainly doesn't take experience to get hotter girls. And comparing stealing a book to having a higher smv to bang a girl is just silly. This is such a loose, forced metaphore it's almost meaningless.

[–]JackGetsIt 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is such a loose, forced metaphore it's almost meaningless

Agreed. The one strength it had though was the line:

you never really own the books. They're yours in the moment

This is gold. Men new to redpill need to internalize it. AWALT.

The Op's metaphor also falls apart at old books and new books. Books have value regardless of there age women on the other hand have a much higher SMV when they are newly printed.

[–]Saiserit 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And you know what you'll get in the end for living a life of "good will?" Goodwill quality books.

[–]LegSnapper206 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That was very clever and a interesting pov, i like that.

[–]yaardi 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some books have sticky pages tho.

[–]RP_Vergil 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's why man adore classic literature which are well crafted. Not trashy new crap like Twilight or better yet, 50 Shades of Grey which originated as a Fan fiction.

You don't get gold by rewriting trash.

[–]Derbi50 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The girl who wrote 50 Shades got plenty of gold from that shit. Also some new shit is pretty good, like GRRM stuff.

[–]TomDemian1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That's why man adore classic literature which are well crafted.

Man adore classic literature because he read a "what to read" list once. Heard of quality, repeats what is heard.

Man not adore modern literature because he not bother to try new things, prefer to read lists, copy what others are doing.

TRP man is independent thinker, has struggle with understanding ideas and expressing ideas. Thread not simply jotted down and posted. Time spent. Effort made.

A man who not do these things not understand TRP.

It'd be hilarious if libraries worked like this.

Snatches 'Huckelberry Finn' from a table and runs.

Guy: Hey stop him! Somebody stop him!

[–]TheDialecticParadox 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That would metaphorically make the librarian like the hamster, or female rationalization.

The librarian resorts the convoluted, random pile of books that have been dumped back at the library and puts them back on the shelf ready to be re-borrowed.

[–]RedPillForBreakfast 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is great for reminding us when you take out a "book" from a library it is never yours; just your turn to read it...

[–]johnnywahd 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, avoid the books with tattered covers that have been "read" quite a bit?

[–]TheKorken 0 points0 points0 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This is stupid. Where in this example do the books cry out to be read by you? Also this subreddit says its the female who choose, so man got to be the book and woman the customer.

It is this subreddit what makes man the "book" woman cant resist to read.

... and like you said, the woman will stand in line and wait for the perfect book even if it will take weeks before they get their hands on it. ... and also only if they could read only one page of it.

Man you totally lost me. Man are the books.

[–]1cover20 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you look at a pussy from the rear, it can look like the pages of a book.

Nah women are the books, and I think Briffault's law is crap. Women have "agency" whatever that means, but a woman is strongly strongly influenced by what her vagina is involuntarily telling her.

[–]Thechosenzebra -20 points-19 points-18 points 11 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Hey i'm a women what does this comment say about me?

[–]Asoka1111110 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Impossible. There are no girls on the Internet

[–]makethemsayayy 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

but she said "hur dur im a girl" to get her girl advantage back

[–]crosenblum 10 points11 points12 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That there are millions of women, and wide varieties of women.

It says nothing about you, because we don't know you.

[+]Thechosenzebra -13 points-12 points-11 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Fair enough like the comparison though

[–]Cluttersnug 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So, men are real people and women are static items waiting to be taken out and used by any man who bothers to pick us up. He enjoys or doesn't enjoy us and then puts us back for the next man to leaf through and check out.
You're a woman and you like the comparison.....ah huh.

[–]Dronkavich4 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It says you are one of many.

[–]frozen_strawberry 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

to extend the analogy to female sexual strategy:

you want to be the one book he just cant put down. the one reads over and over and that always provides entertainment, new facets of the story that are revealed to him as he reads the book again so he gets to know you better and better. in fact, you're so good he may walk past the library or a book store and he might even glance but he'll never actually want to abandon you because after years and years, when your cover has faded, you still bring more value to his life than the other books could.
and you're not some ordinary book who could have been picked up by any bum at the library to get out of the rain. you saw him in the library before, watched him, saw he has a refined taste and then made sure he'd get you.
once you're at his house you reveal your housekeeping and cooking pages (couldnt think of a better way to put the female duties in there) because you want to be the one book he actually purchases from the library and has little booklets with.

so this analogy pretty much works for women, too.

"Promiscuity is like never reading past the first page. Monogamy is like reading the same book over and over." --Mason Cooley

[–]DuncanMonroe 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Basically she wants to be the bible and her man to be a brainwashed christian who will do illogical, stupid things against his own self-interest in her name.

[–]frozen_strawberry1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

not really, no. though you should probably ask one of the endorsed contributors here who have ltrs why they do it, not me.

[–]throwaway48453 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It says that no one owns you.

OK, the "library" owns you. If you're religious, you might say that God owns you. Otherwise, you might say that Nature owns you.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If I were made of vellum, would the dead sheep own me? Can animals own property? Dead or alive? If I leave everything to my pet sheep in my will, could I have specified, that when my sheep dies, she leaves everything to her pet hamster, all in her name (which is Make Fluff btw)? I put it that way, because I don't think sheep really have that much agency.

[–]RedSugarPill 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It suggests that the state owns you, which is pretty on point.

[–]ModRedSovereign[M] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
