Broke-off my 8yr relationship as it was getting toxic and unsalvageable. First 6 years were good. I've been looking at the OLD profiles around my age and they are hilarious. Still full of the same dreams they had when they were 20. They all want relationships. Their profiles are full of the phrases like 'soulmate', 'my perfect man', 'my one and only', 'looking for my best friend'. They may have gone thru 2 divorces but the Disney fairytale is still with them.

It's as though their life-experiences don't mean anything. Optimism is noble, but delusion isn't.
