I'm cynical because of how fake they normally are. People pretending to be better, fancier versions of themselves. I'd much rather be with people being themselves.
I gotta say I've loved my pets in the past(don't have any now) but generally don't see how some people spend crazy amounts of money on them. 5 grand is a lot but I can get that if the dog is going to live a good life after. Freaking out though because someone is attached to an animal? Yea major red flags.

I made the mistake of dating a woman who didn't really love dogs. She said she liked them but it was another lie. At first they slept in the bed with us. Then she decided that she didn't like that, so no more dogs sleeping in the bed, fine. Then it turned into no dogs in the house, uhhh, ok I guess. I had a big shop in the back yard, so I made a man/dog cave. So I built a room with a dog door, a/c, a couch, and a tv for me to play video games on.
Thank god I left that girl. Now I have my own house, and my dogs always sleep with me. I fucking love my dogs, but I hate that bitch. Don't be a simp and bend over for a woman! IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH! EVER!
